OMG, it has come to Clovis. Pete’s Teriayki has a new location in the Target/Best Buy shopping center. On the side of PetSMart. The store front does not have the sign up yet. It’s the old mah’s Teriaki location. We went in, and the food is as we remember from the Fresno location. Today was its grand opening. It’s a must visit.

I’m disappointed because I loved Pete’s the original in Fresno. I’ve tried the Clovis location twice and both times the chicken has been dry and chewy. The first time I tried it it took about 40 minutes for my order the second time I trade it, it took about 15 minutes, I’m leaving 2 stars because the teriyaki sauce is still good. The vegetables were good. The amount is good. It’s just the quality of the meat. It was so bad I couldn’t eat it. The rice was the best part. It was cooked perfect.

I got a teriyaki bowl with 2 carrots and a broccoli in it. The rice to veggie ratio was, well nonexistent. The chicken was very dry. I really wanted to like this place but my expectations were too high I guess. The gyoza was very good, I’ll give them that!

Wanted to love this restaurant- but the quality isn’t great. My mom and I were giving it a third try and hoping since they had been open a bit now it would be better. Nope. We ordered to take home. Tonight- the tempura wasn’t cooked- it was like eating breaded raw vegetables. The chicken and beef have no flavor- and the beef is uneatable all together- chewy. We picked up at 750 so right before they closed- so can’t call them. Waste of $30.

Such a disappointment! Had high hopes for this place since I love the Shaw & Marks location but wow! What a difference, and not in a good way! The food wasn’t even warm and I literally drove down the street 2 minutes before I started eating it! The chicken was disgusting! Chewy and gross! Every other piece I put in my mouth had to be spit out! The teriyaki sauce doesn’t even taste the same! Never going back! Definitely stick to the original location.

Been coming here regularly since Mah’s opened. I have heard good things about the other Pete’s location and had high hopes this one would be good also. Been here twice since the Pete’s reopening and have been disappointed both times. Beef quality seems to be lower and the tempura is thick and not nearly as tasty.
