We stopped here on our way to Houston. My husband was craving steak and we wanted a typical Texas steakhouse. Our waitress was very friendly. Fresh warm rolls were brought out before our meal. I asked for the chicken pita wrap and my husband asked for the chicken fried steak. My husband described his chicken fried steak as the best he has ever had! 5 ⭐️ from us all around. If you are looking for home cooking during your travels make sure you stop in Madisonville. You will not be disappointed!

The service in this place was superb!!! The waitress was very attentive. It’s family friendly. Tables were situated widely apart from each other so you don’t have to worry so much with the current pandemic dining out here. The rolls were warm, soft and fluffy with whipped butter. The steak was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. They also serve house-made strawberry vinegar dressing to go with salad or the crab cakes.

My family was driving back to DFW from Galveston. We decided we wanted something better than fast food. We drove into town to try Texas Legends. It was great! From the bread, the appetizer, the entrée, and service, it was great! I highly recommend!

We were driving from Houston back to Dallas when we decided to stop by and dine somewhere in Madisonville. Found this nice restaurant. I ordered steak with shrimps and rice. It was delicious and flavorful. The ambience was quaint, the service was awesome and our server was very friendly. It was a good dining experience. Will definitely visit again if we are in town.

Extremely impressed with this place. The rolls were homemade and perfect, the salad was fresh, and of course we had to try the fried mushrooms since Madisonville is the Mushroom capital of Texas! Both the fried mushrooms and fried squash were delicious. Our entrees were excellent as well. Will definitely come back next time we pass through!

We stopped here on the way to Crockett. I searched for restaurants close by and this one had such great reviews. We stopped on a Saturday evening and we were seated right away. Staff was friendly. We ordered margaritas, small and large. The small was tiny. My coffee cup was bigger and it was half full of nugget ice. The taste resembled a very sweet limeade. My sisters got the large, which was like most restaurants large, but they said it did not taste like it had any tequila in it so they ordered shots to put in it. 3 of us ordered the steaks and they were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. They did not have any kind of seasoning to the steaks, so if you like your steak to be marinated or seasoned you might not like theirs. Now the cost is more in line with an upscale steakhouse in downtown Austin or Houston so not much bang for your buck at this place. I imagine it is a local go to place if you don’t want to drive very far.
