Look. I have a soft spot for this place. Bartenders are all awesome. Val is a sweetheart. Great variety of drink offerings, including my hard to find Green Spot. Hard seltzer selection, the one exception, sucks. Bands are always good to great and lot of events go on to help the community. Great selection on the juke box. Dart boards if your into that. The kitchen does a good job on the few items that I’ve had. If I was Toby Keith and had written “I love this bar”, my inspiration would probably have been Val’s.

We had a fried pork chop lunch yesterday. The turnip greens were ice cold along with the potatoes. People I know said said they had excellent food. Undoubtedly my friends don’t know what they’re talking about.

What a wonderful time I had hanging out here. It was a true joy to be there listening to the band, knocking back a few beers, and enjoying some food. Wonderful people own and operate this place. They always have made me feel welcomed. Thanks for a wonderful time. I danced so much my butt hurts.

Popped in here for a drink in a quick meal. It’s not bad. If it was just a bar I would probably rate it higher. It’s definitely a sports bar 1st and then the food is absolutely secondary. As a bar it’s definitely a local spot. Kind of looks like a tavern sports bar. Plenty of Tv’s playing a wide variety of sports. The owner or manager is visibly sitting and definitely running the show. It very much has a mom and pop small town feel. Enjoyed the bar but the food wasn’t very good. The ingredients were clearly a little older or definitely coming from a freezer with a little freezer burn on it. French fries were all the shorts and left over bits in a bag. It wasn’t terrible but ok. All in all not a bad place but in the future I would definitely go for the drinks, sports, and camaraderie with the locals but not for the food.

I’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed yet. They have daily specials my husband and I love. The atmosphere is great, especially for Steelers fans ( they have a Steelers fan club that meets in the bar, so there is plenty of Steelers stuff)

This place is really bad. I popped in for a quick beer and maybe something to eat. The place was busy so I waited. But even though the place was busy the bartender was not hustling. He was just standing around talking. So after a while we left. But I wanted to be fair so the next evening we went back. This time they were not busy so I thought ok maybe this time we will get better service. It was not much better but we decided we would get one drink and order a couple of burgers to go. So we did. The place we were staying was right across the street. So we took our food and left. The burgers were Burnt charcoal black. I mean burnt really bad. The fries were limp. The only way I know of to get fries to go limp like that is to microwave them. So if you want way Overpriced Burnt burgers and microwaved fries then this is the place for you. But Do yourself a favor. There are many other places in Ocean Springs to get a drink and a meal. Go elsewhere.

What a friendly and great place to watch the Superbowl with a bunch of friends ! We were Lucky enough to find Vsls and had a great time. The staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating. We all had so much fun ! Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed !
