Brand new to the Kitsap area and just as amazing as I remember it from when I used to live on the East Coast. The Churchs Texas Chicken apparently has undergone a slight rebranding but I guarantee you, it is still absolutely delicious.

We showed up after closing and the manager welcomed us with open arms and a deal! I’d say they’re off to a good start. Chicken was moist inside and crispy on the outside. Biscuits were good too. Excited to support this restaurant!

Opening a new business on wheaton way can be hectic as we saw with Dutch Bros who had a lane backed up for hours during their grand opening. Locals are always looking for a reason to be excited in a town with a struggling economy.

Arrived at 10:15 a.m. and was told they wouldn’t be opened until 10:45-11:00. Kinda bad for a place that just opened. Oh well, this didn’t start off too well and I’m not sure if we’re coming back!

This place just opened a couple days ago… The team is brand new and friendly. I’ve never been to a Church’s before. I ordered a combo 2 (three piece and mashed potatoes plus a hard biscuit), mac and cheese, and a chicken sandwich. The food was nicely cooked, but just as bland as hospital food. I will try again in a month, but not currently impressed.
