One of the most authentic Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities with reasonable price. We ordered Pad Thai and Pad Mama (Thai style fried instant noodle). Both were great! As Thai, we highly recommend!

Our experience at Lanna Thai did not live up to the hype. Very good and attentive service, but many of the dishes fell short with flavor and taste. For example, the Tom Kha was a bit too sour, did not balance the flavors, and not up to the standards with similar restaurants in Minneapolis. Overall, not that bad, just not a restaurant we would plan to come back to in the future.

Still dreaming about that Khao soi!

Best khao soi I’ve ever had, goes straight to the top of my list. The spice levels are not Minnesota level spice, but real spice. A number 2 spice (medium) would knock the socks off my Minnesotan grandma, so keep that in mind. Great vibes, good music, incredibly nice staff and service was good!

Had takeout this evening and was excited to try a new place. The dishes we got had pretty solid flavor and the spice was right on with our expectations. One issue was the curry was more of a thin soup consistency, not the creamy curry I personally enjoy. I won’t consider myself a Thai cuisine expert but I have ordered curries from other Thai restaurants that were appropriately thick and creamy. Next up, any dish with rice was horribly overcooked. The rice provided for the curry was mushy, and the overall consistency of the fried rice we got was far beyond an enjoyable texture. Severely overcooked. On the flip side, I really enjoyed the texture of the tofu.

Food was incredible! We tried the pad Thai, fried rice, red curry, and laab salad- all fire. Cute little restaurant with great service and amazing food. Definitely check it out!

From the time they opened, I have dined in 3-5 times and got takeout 5-6 times. I love their food. They have amazing recipes and were even able to customize food with no spices for my mother in law. Thank you and hope to keep on dining here in the future.

Wonderful food and the owner took the time to tell me about some other places in the Twin Cities I should check out since I’m new to the area. There’s some dishes on the menu that you can’t get at other Thai restaurants nearby. Price was similar to other sit down restaurants I’ve been to since I’ve moved here. Definitely will be going back to try more dishes.

Unfortunately don’t recommend. I’ve tried twice, both times flavors were very bland and off. I have tried the chicken Pad Thai – flavorless and Pad see ew – weirdly very salty! I really want to like this place bc I love Thai but it’s not worth it. There are better options out there.

I went there for dinner last night. Very delicious authentic Thai food, super friendly staff, and clean environment. I am surprised to see a variety of dishes that could hardly find in other Thai restaurants around town. Beef Laab salad has a good balance of flavors and a note of fresh herbs. Crispy tofu comes with a peanut sauce that pairs so well with the dish. Thai iced tea is always my favorite. It’s almost like a drinkable dessert, sweet and creamy. Definitely will be back to explore other dishes. Highly recommended!
