Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.

Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

We ordered late Monday night, when I (Charlene Nelson) picked up the pizzas, the GM was the only one there…we chatted a bit…super nice guy! Told him I had 4 hungry boys at home who were working on mulch and he sent me home with a little surprise. So unexpected and super sweet! We love their pizza anyways, but the extra act of kindness will definitely have us back soon! Thank you so much again!

The pizza I ordered was all burnt. The service was super slow it took 2 hours for my one pizza. Manager was super rude on the phone, he just hung up on me out of the blue. Don’t go here it is waste money

Let me say this location knows how to keep customers! I place an on line order, got messed up, waited patiently 45 minutes for my pizzas because they made a mistake! The manager gave me a free frozen deep dish pizza and a pint of Italian lemon ice! Thank you very much, now that’s business!

It’s amazing pizza. My only issue is that the Italian sausage is super lean and doesn’t have much flavor, but they have the best crust, sauce, and cheese. If you don’t like lean sausage, use other toppings or maybe do sausage with something else to add to the flavor that the sausage is missing. Pepperoni always works!
