I have never been made to feel so horrible at a restaurant in my life! I walked in a little after 4 today (Sunday) and sat at the bar. The bartender didn’t even so much as say hi to me. After a few minutes go by she throws a water and some menus at me with not even so much as a hello. She eventually comes and asks me for my drink order in a super unfriendly manner. Brings me my drink and ignores me some more. Eventually throws some bread and oil in front of me without a word. I just got my tab and left. I spend a lot of money and did not want to give them a penny more. This place is awful. I’m a fine dining server and would never treat anyone this way nor have I ever been treated this way! My mind is blown!

There was some buzz when Stella first opened but we were underwhelmed by the food, menu, and service. We sat at the bar since the restaurant was empty at 6:30 when we arrived. Even so we waited 20 mins for our first drink and seemed more to do with staff interacting with each other instead of patrons. Started with the arugula and Burrata salad which was large but boring with the cheese just sitting in the middle (not gooey like most Burrata) and some pieces of rolled up prosciutto. Our pizza was burned on the crust but soggy in the middle. The tiramisu was heavy on the custard and light on the espresso soaked lady fingers. Sadly, we won’t be back especially with the lack of parking in Southlake Town Center.

Food is great hence the reason we keep coming back. This is at least at 5th visit. We know weekends are busy so we made reservations and arrived 20 minutes early. Even though there was a table available, they made us wait until our reservation time. We sat outside with 100 degree weather. A few minutes later we found two chairs at the bar. When our time came, they told us we had two choices, seat at the table available when we showed up (a high top) or stay at the bar, both unacceptable options; waiting for a regular height table was not given as an option to us. We decided to take the high top and let them know we were disappointed. The manager couldn’t care less. The female owner came to our table to diffuse the situation but offered nothing. Just a few minutes later they sat a couple at a regular table who had no reservations! Then, to add salt to the wound, our waiter got one order wrong and the other was not what he described. So recommend you visit any time except weekends and when you make a reservation call, don’t do it online so you may specify a table that meet the needs of your party.

Sorry to say it was…edible, but would never go back…..Not bad per se, but not good either. Definitely not worth the price. Service staff was nice, but lacked proper service training. Sat at the bar and all of the hanging glassware looked dirty, the bartender had to polish the heck out of every wine glass they used. The pizza was very soggy, pasta was bland, weird Caesar salad (it had an odd sweet flavor and the lettuce was starting to turn brown). Pretty interior and great location. Nothing “authentic” or fresh about the food.

Went here for a birthday dinner and it was amazing! The pasta was cooked perfectly, I got the farfelle. The celebration they had was very fun and the desert was amazing! Definitely try the gelato if they have some. Service was good, our server made sure we had everything we need and always stopped to ask us if we needed anything. It was definitely a good experience!
