Hubby and I stopped here hoping for brunch. But the menu didn’t really have a lot of brunch options. There were two and then everything else was normal lunch/ dinner items. We shared the pork belly as appetizer. I had the chicken and waffles and hubby got the chicken wrap. Unfortunately the chicken was cooked to long for my chicken and waffles. So it was very hard and dry and I didn’t care for the rosemary agave syrup. Hubby said it meal was good at-least. So now we know this isn’t really the spot for brunch unless you just want drinks.

My family of four dined at the Social House (SH) since we wanted to try something new. As soon as we entered SH, my wife and I felt we have made a bad choice. The music was extremely loud, so the patrons had to talk over the music which exacerbated the loudness. We ordered burgers for our kids, two appetizers, soup, chicken wrap, and lava cake. The burgers and cake were good. However, the chicken was dry and flavorless. The gumbo was also bland. The fried appetizers were ok but nothing to write home about. The service was decent but could have been better if the server payed more attention to us. Our children asked for drink refills but never received them. We understood our server having multiple customers to tend to, but a great part of dining out is to be treated like you are the only customer. The overall dining experience was not what we hoped for. SH is clearly not for family dining. Thank you.

I realize costs have increased, but they have taken it too far. For the $18.50 they charged for my wife’s Hendrix martini and $8.50 for a glass of beer during happy hour we can go to Ruth’s Chris and save money. It’s too bad, we liked the place but the cost does not match the value.
