I’ve gone out to get the three kinds combination (duck, crispy skin roast pork and cold cut chicken pictured) once a week for a month now. The meat is great, the rice is generously delivered and the cabbage is one of the highlights of the whole package for me. The portion size provided is never lacking, enough for most people to have leftovers.

Ton kiang has never failed my expectation in the past several years I’ve lived in Seattle. They are a hole in the wall and usually there are two people running the show so they’re pretty busy. All their rice/noodle dishes comes with a lovely wok hay that you don’t get at many Chinese restaurants, not to mention at such an affordable price. I got those four boxes of food and it lasts three meals for two foodies. This will forever be one of my favorite places and I will always come back to explore more menu items!

This restaurant is take-out only with excellent food and service. Had the 2 kinds of meat with rice selecting roast duck and crispy roast pork for $13 (including tax). Arrived at 2 PM on a weekday with no one in line and received my order within 10 minutes. Both meats were excellent and included cabbage with rice enough to make 2 meals!

Basic, mom & pop, hole-in-the-wall Cantonese BBQ joint with limited seating. Quick to-go service and friendly, efficient staff. Excellent roast duck – fatty and flavorful with every bite! Their congee is also one of the best in the area. Great prices for large portions. Fantastic value!

Fantastic hole in the wall: they have a killer deal on Lo Mai Gai (sticky rice lotus leaf) and we always keep a couple extra in our freezer. Often sell out quickly on weekends. Their bbq duck and roast pork are excellent. Don’t expect to do sit down here, take away is highly recommended.

Our group of five dined in this place. We all ordered different entree and shared the meat. Roast duck is great! Wonton soup is also very nice. The price is pretty cheap for the quality and amount of food we got. The bathroom is a little shabby though.

The roasted pork they served me sat in half an inch of grease. There was 90% fat in the pork and barely any meat to even taste. The lady rushing back and forth to process orders and check out was friendly. The guy cutting the meat could careless what he was serving you. Not the best first impression.

Ordered the wonton noodle soup and salted fish /chicken fried rice. Both were really good. The wonton dumplings were big with a full shrimp inside; noodles were perfect. The fried rice was very flavorful and hit the spot. Great prices with generous portions. Highly recommend.

I have been to Ton Kiang several times in the past few years and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a hole-in-the-wall and that adds to its charm especially places like this are dwindling in the area. The restaurant has a somewhat unkempt appearance but it should not turn you away. There are a few tables to sit at and while I’ve never had to wait for a seat, I would probably be ready for a wait. The prices here are great and the value is through the roof. Most recently I visited right as they opened on a Friday morning. I ended up getting the one meat and rice combo and chose the BBQ pork. It comes out to $7 after all is said and done and there is more than enough food for two meals. As an aside, they do take credit cards, but anything under $10 adds a credit card fee. As for the combo it came with two heaping scoops of white rice, a bed of cabbage and pieces of BBQ pork. The cabbage is likely cooked along side the meats because it is rich and flavorful. The cabbage has a good texture – not mushy but cooked through. The BBQ is what draws me here time and time again though. The pork is not the bright red you’ll see with supermarket Chinese BBQ pork but a dark red/brown. The brown comes from the caramelization they get on the pork skin – any bite of the brown, crispy pieces is a delight. The pork is meaty and rich is a great example of good Chinese BBQ. I will continue to visit and will direct anyone looking for good BBQ pork here.

Sorry, I cannot comment precisely as I decided not to eat here, but after arriving the ambience is pretty much non-existent, and it seems you can only take away food. Only one table with boxes on top was present. Char sui was not available, but considering the time it was close to 17.00. The duck was lying in a container with other produce, and cleaning could have been improved. I had to leave. Maybe nice food, I’m not sure.
