Awesome discovery in Somerville! Searching for a top rated, reasonably priced restaurant in & around Cambridge & avenue kitchen & bar came up on Google search. Looked at the menu read good reviews & decided to give it a try. Small, charming place, attentive staff, great service & delicious food. Ordered cauliflower tacos were the best I’ve had, the crispy shrimp & shishito peppers for aps & they were yummy. We ordered the beyond burger & Detroit style chefs choice pizza & both were awesome. I’ll definitely be returning to this place.

The Pizza. Wow. My wife and I left blown away. We hadn’t had Detroit style before, but we are sold. We got the Reg with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and onions. Incredible sauce, cheese, toppings, crust. Service was very good! Highly recommended.

Definitely a unique pizza experience. I liked both pizzas, but sadly they were cold by the time we got them (even though we picked up asap). I generally order pizza takeout, so this lowered the ranking to a 4 since they were not amazing cold/reheated. I’ll have to try in person, and I think the ranking could definitely increase. Still worth trying!

A good friend told me of this place and it was not a disappointment!! Let’s just say I went in for brunch and left after dinner. It was a great place to meet new people, watch the game, eat, drink and be merry!! Ken, exec chef and co-owner worked magic in the kitchen. Though, of all the food eaten there only one lacked a bit of seasoning. Gino, bartender and co-owner absolutely treated you like family. Great conversation when he was able to between the busy bar and full restaurant. A must order is the “Hi, how are ya?!” A secret drink not on the menu. One dish worthy of mention besides the pizzas is the Duck Wings!! Sweet, salty, sticky cannot have enough of!!! If you try anything, one must have the duck wings!

This establishment cannot be trusted with allergies. We ordered a gluten free item from the menu, and specified to our server that it was necessary for it to be gluten free. The manager brought over the appetizer and as he was setting it on the table informed us that it had been contaminated in the frier. Since it was no longer gluten free, I informed him of such and to my shock he had the gall to argue that the food was gluten free because it had been made without glutenous ingredients. This reveals that the LEADERS of this establishment do not have allergen training as anyone competent would know that gluten is an allergy and you cannot list something as gluten free on the menu if it is contaminated during preparation, regardless of the ingredients in it. This establishment knowingly lies about allergens on their menu.

We hit up this place between brunch and dinner service when they have a limited menu. We were going for pizza so it didn’t matter. And it didn’t disappoint! Detroit-style pizza is unique, very hearty, and extreme delicious.

Superb! I was very pleased with how everything came out .. service was great & prompt. The food was delicious, the steak & cheese wontons were really really good kinda surprised me, and then the crispy chicken bites were just as good both are highly recommended. The Chicken bites were really crispy on the outside & inside they were very tender & juicy, most places fry them & then are dry inside but not here very pleased. Then came the pizza which was also phenomenal enjoyed the crispy crust & very cheesy slices. Pepperoni was really good and the size of the Detroit style was a pretty good size for a large. Dessert was not bad, cookie was a lil too sweet for me but overall this was a great night to have a very tasty dinner.

We just had a very welcoming and delicious first experience here. We’ll definitely be back! We enjoyed tasty, well- balanced cocktails, unique salt cod nuggets with a crunchy, flavorful slaw, and a fantastic Detroit style pizza. We live in S. Medford and are thrilled that a place of this character and quality has opened within easy walking distance. Highly recommend!

Cobb salad was so good and so was the CBR pizza! They have a cute outdoor space, which is perfect for the warm and sunny days. Cocktails were okay but would go back again for the food.
