Great sandwiches and salads in a cool atmosphere. My personal favorite is the Virginian with it’s mix of prosciutto, roasted turkey, baked ham, provolone, romaine, tomato, and banana peppers. I like to sub the French bread and add their spicy house dressing. They also have boylan soda in the fountain and nightingale ice cream sandwiches in their freezer. What more could you ask for.

Food is always good here. Their house dressing is amazing! To me, next best thing to the cheese shop. People are nice and efficient. The only thing I could complain about is price. A little on the expensive side, making this a treat place once a month or so.

Great place to eat. Don’t waste your time looking for a place to park. Use the garage next door, and the stairs open up just a few steps away. Sandwiches are full of meat and flavor. Line moved fast during the lunch hour. I wanted to take a picture of my sandwich, but it was gone before I had time to.

Everyone needs to have a meal at Taste. Both our meals were incredibly! Parking is within feet of the restaurant. Tables outside . Perfect day. I’ve never had Apricot tea. Oh my so yummy! Staff was fast, friendly & got our order correct. Lots of home made items to take home. The bake goods looked decadent!! A lunch to remember for sure!

The Lynnhaven was great! They also have great dips in the cold section. It’s kind of weird that this restaurant that specializes in sub sandwiches doesn’t have anything like an Italian sub though.

This is a great place to have a delicious sandwich and relax in city center. I got the “Inlet,” a vegetarian sandwich, and I substituted vegan mozzerella for the standard cheese. They have craft sodas in their fountain machine, lots of individually bottled juices, beers, and othe drinks, and there is a shop element where they sell cookbooks, gift items, and pre-packaged foods and snacks. The interior is spacious and inviting, and there are artists displaying and selling their work. There is also sidewalk seating. The service was veey hospitable. My only complaint is I wish there were a few more vegan options, maybe even a vegan sandwich.

I wasn’t entirely sure what I would be walking into on my first visit to TASTE, however, I greatly enjoyed it. The food was really good (I recommend the Lynnhaven or Princess Ann). There’s grab and go option, plenty of other good for purchase (pound cakes, peanuts, chips, cookies, etc.) TASTE also has a nice beer and wine selection to choose from. To top it all of, and probably my most welcomed surprise, the soda fountain is all Boylan Bottling Company Craft Sodas!
