I love the sushi here! Always fresh and all tastes so great! The prices are amazing compared to others in the area. Complimentary soup while you wait. The owners are very nice and so sweet as well as their daughter, who others call The Dragon Lady. We are regulars here and she is so kind. To others she does not know she’s stand offish and short however look past it the first couple times, trust me you won’t regret. Business and bathrooms are always very clean. Come here for sushi, Chinese food, & Ramen! They do To Go too. Our favorite sushi gem in all of Grand Junction.

I absolutely enjoyed this restaurant the 1st time so I had to come back. Max and his family know how to do hospitality right. Greeted with a free bowl of soup on the way in. I chose hot and sour however I believe there are other options like egg drop or miso. It’s kind of nice to decide what you want to eat while enjoying a bowl. I enjoyed the quality of the sushi as well as the variety and some unique rolls. I had the Grand Junction roll and an item from the Hot Menu (Volcano Shrimp) this time. Prices are great without sacrificing quality. I found the entire staff including my waitress very pleasant to talk to. I look forward to my next visit.

Nancy was AMAZING! As always we enjoy coming to Yama. We have been to all of the sushi places around town but always come back here because the food is great and we love seeing Nancy ! This is our new sushi spot from here on out!! The black dragon was on point my son said best in town ! So many good things to say about Yama I will never go anywhere else.

Delicious! We got the Zen Platter and Orange Chicken. The building looks abandoned from the outside, but don’t be fooled. I wish they had descriptions of all the rolls, but we’ll definitely become new regulars!

The service was good the sushi was good but the sesame chicken and I don’t remember what the other dish was but they were inedible very tough to the point it hurt to try and chew the presentation was amazing so I was very disappointed maybe just an off day I would try again

I have enjoyed eating here several times and I had my birthday at Yama Sushi & Asian Fusion! Nancy, our favorite server, was attentive, accommodating, and very funny. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is fast and friendly! It is a real family restaurant experience where the staff remember you and your family. We’ve made this one of our regular places and wouldn’t change a thing!
