Might be the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Got the mild chicken which had a hint of spice. The chicken is a huge piece double breaded. The fries are very crunchy and the sauce on them are a plus. You can’t sit down there so you gotta grab and go. Highly recommend if you are over eating pizza in New Haven

Some of these reviews are ridiculous lol anyone commenting about “overpriced” or “portion sizes” are soo picky it’s honestly annoying. For the price I paid, I was extremely satisfied. I kid you not, this is my new favorite spot. I ordered the Not Chicken Sandwich and my god was it the best cauliflower immitation meat sandwich I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’ve had cauliflower wings from buffalo wild wings and cauliflower meals at other vegan restaurants and this by far takes the cake as the best cauliflower sandwich. I got the spiciest level on the menu but was told there were hotter off-menu options that I will definitely try now that I know I can handle the highest heat level.

The BEST hot chicken in New Haven! Our first visit was during college tours, and based on Google reviews. Haven Hot Chicken does not disappoint. We have been three times now, and the food has been consistently perfectly seasoned, cooked, and packaged–even the coleslaw is delicious (try it directly on your sandwich)! Our son now visits weekly: only 5.5 blocks from Durfee Hall

I ate at Haven Hot Chicken many before leaving this review. Generally it’s a solid, carb-heavy chicken joint with well-seasoned offerings. Do not be misled: the spicier tenders can be very hot. The food quality is typically best during the daytime. At night, sometimes the staff become careless and rude. One time my chicken and waffles were mad burnt and the store closed before I was able to notice. But, the food is consistently good about 90% of the time, and the managers will make it right when something is brought to their attention.

It’s a no frills storefront, but the hot chicken sandwich was great. Usually you get a sandwich and it’s a measly piece of chicken, not here! The cutlet was huge and juicy and the sauce was actually spicy for a change. If I’m ever down this way again, I’d def come back.

Got 4 chicken sandwiches with different heat levels. Chicken is really tasty and good quality. Size of sandwich on the smaller side, dry and Cole slaw was minimal. Too expensive for the portion size. Fries ok. Not worth it

The chicken was the best I ever had! It was fresh, tender, crispy and most importantly hot. The French fries were good as well. Nice handmade job of preparing the chicken, not like Popeyes or kfc.I recommend it 10/10!
