I’ve been here 4 times. The first time was a few years ago and it was solid. Unfortunately it got worse every time after and the last time the food was completely inedible. Literally had to throw away a whole order of the super nacho fries. The chicken was rubbery and clearly not fresh. Fries were super soggy, even for nacho fries status. Clearly were not fried at the time of order. Never again.

Horrible place except perhaps if you’ve never had uncooked Mexican food and somehow think your shrimp burrito should be raw along with the veggies. Literally served completely uncooked. Dangerous! And the server wouldn’t fix anything….said that is the way it’s supposed to be

I’m from southern California and moved to the Seattle area in 2009. This is the first Mexican restaurant in the area that I thoroughly enjoy! It reminds me of the Mexican comfort food from my childhood. Perfection. Since I discovered this place, I’ve ordered from here about once a week. It’s a legit obsession.

We’ve been going here since it opened months ago. The food was very good and the portions were impressively generous. But our last visit was not that high standard. We considered this place as the go to Mexican food but not today. We ordered the usual on our ‘Taco Tuesday’ but the food was poor in quality, the taste bland and the Taco portions were skimpy: The Taco Salad was runny and likely due to the soggy shredded beef; They did give us another Taco salad but that was soggy too. The Tacos were very skimpy; Usually, its ample or generous in quantity from end to end of the taco but not this time. I asked the Owner/Order taker why the skimpy meat and she replied, ” I didn’t cook it.” That was not a favorable response and stand-off’ish. I don’t mean to be critical of her food but I felt I should ask since we have been impressed in the past. We don’t know what happened but the quality and quantity has diminished. We suspect a change in the cooks happened and attention to detail was lost in the transition. Hope the owners take note and get back to why people eat their use to be, very good food.

I had the mary tierra quesadilla. Not bad. Could had a bit more shrimp. What’s lacking is the salsa bar. All the salsa lack salt. They all were pretty bland as well as the salsa bar could have been cleaner as well as the table. I had scrape food off the table. Other than that the food was pretty good. Price was good too.

We dined here a few times before the pandemic. Street tacos were good. We tried four new things today: rolled tacos, shrimp fajitas, a taco-enchilada combo, and Chiles rellenos. Everything came with rice and beans. Rolled tacos were a substantial, filling choice, but the sides lacked flavor and were barely warm. The shrimp were too salty to eat and the sea aroma was too much to get past 1 shrimp, so ended up using tortillas for the beans. The taco was good, but the enchilada was a grilled tortilla filled with cold shredded cheese. COLD cheese. The Chile rellenos were premade and briefly warmed on grill, then topped with super cold guac. Rellenos were watery from their earlier prep and cold because not warmed thru to heat the cheese and/or the guac cooled it off before they could be enjoyed.
