I want to thank all the cooks and servers for making this delicious food. The photo I posted of my 2 meat plate had a little more food on it but I was so hungry I dug right in. The potato salad, coleslaw, and beans was absolutely scrumptious but sorry I cannot choose which one is better than the other.

First off, the service was quick and friendly. I really appreciate friendly, effective service. However, the food was just plain bad. I decided to give this a try since they’ve won many best-in-Georgetown awards. After my experience, I can only imagine that’s due to their fairly large portions and the voters being the same people who nominate the Olive Garden as best ethnic restaurant every year.

Went to the Pit BBQ for lunch today. I feel ripped off. For $21.00 ($18.31 plate and $2.69 tip), I got a bland tasting single sausage link and brisket that didn’t taste smoked at all. It was rubbery and dry. It taste like it was cooked in an oven. The potato salad is ok, maybe too bitter. The beans were good. The coleslaw was luke-warm and that made it hard to eat. Over all, I would never buy an overpriced plate from them again.

Tried out the Pit BBQ tonight! Drive thru open only (April 2021). Service was very friendly and helpful. Got the regular Moist beef brisket and the lean beef brisket. I moist was a little more fatty (very tender) … the lean was more like I am used too… (slice of meat that seems firmer). I would order the lean in the future. But both were Good amounts of meat and both cooked well. Could have used a little more seasoning / flavoring but was good overall. Thanks!
