For central Illinois, this place is really good, not really authentic, but good. My guess is that authentic ingredients are probably difficult to source. The pizza is good, pasta over cooked but probably just not authentic quality. Good service and reasonably priced.

Excellent food, friendly staff. The atmosphere could use some decor to soften it and rearrangement of the tables, but it’s very clean and tidy. All entree prices are in $15 -$20 range but also includes a salad and fantastic bread!! This is the only truly Italian restaurant I know of in the Mattoon/ Charleston area that isn’t a pizza place first.

Authentic Italian food in Central Illinois? Believe it! I was really surprised at how good the food is. I had the best stromboli I have had in recent memory. The meatball sub was top notch as well. The portions are huge so you really do get a lot of value for the money.

The 2 stars are for the waitstaff, the only positive element of my experience with this restaurant. The food was hot, but that’s all it had going for it. The chicken was dry and rubbery, sauce had no flavor, the table was dirty, the spaghetti was overcooked. I could go on, but you can see my point. Never again.

We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with some friends. I had the Greek salad with chicken and it was very good. My hubs had seafood Alfredo and LOVED it. We both had enough that we took some home for the next day and their bread is delicious!
