About 25 years ago, I had a business located in this neighborhood. I have since retired but I remembered this business today. I took a jaunt to find it and it was just as great today as it was 25 years ago. They make such great sandwiches and the staff is very friendly. Not like these chain stores that start with an s and end with a y. I have renewed my interest here and I will add it to my go-to place for sandwiches.

This place has character and charm. It’s a no frills joint for a delicious sandwich, soup or tamale. The staff were friendly…like very friendly. They treated me like I was a regular. There was a line at lunch hour but they moved us all along quickly.

Such a great local place to get good food . The people that run the place are always so friendly . The bread for the sandwiches is delicious , they use real lettuce and the tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes, my favorite is that they have sprouts and there is just something so special about the mustard/mayo mix . It’s the details too , the fancy toothpick stuck in the sandwich and you always get a paper towel added to the bag with your sandwich , you know it’s so much nicer than those awful napkins at most places . Highly recommend .

Buy LOCAL from Jay and Dennis. Friendly and excellent service from all of the staff. Fresh sandwiches and salads, hot soups. If you are lucky enough to visit on a BBQ Pork day, definitely get one! lady that helped me ruined it for me. I ordered 4 sandwiches and when I got back to work, sandwiches had 5 pieces of meat and looked like she smashed them down and bread got glued to paper. paid almost 40.00 dollars. I have gone before and never had any issues.
