We had high hope for this new French place as it was probably one of the more expensive restaurants in Red Bank area. Appetizers were around $15 and entrees $30+. However, BYOB helped. It was quite busy/crowded and very loud on a Saturday night.

All the richness of fine French cuisine for dinner beside a light casual lunch menu, Marc is the best around. The French Pizzas are delicious. Glad they made the menu.

Our first dinner at O Bistro Francais was with out a dough the finished dinner we have had in quite some time. The service was outstanding and the decor was, along with the soft french music, just made the night enjoyable. The chef actually greeted us at the door alone with our waitress. I had the esscordo appetizer with the duck entree . My wife had a salad and the salmon. We also had desert, how we were able to eat all of this Mine boggling it was all good. Congratulations Chef.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at O Bistro. Great French restaurant! The owner (Fred) is extremely attentive and makes you feel welcome. We had eaten there twice before and each time I wanted to try the Filet Mignon but tried something else….This time I went with the Filet Mignon. I’m so glad I did. It was a good size and cooked perfectly. The potato’s o’gratin were the best I ever had. (and I was in Paris a few months ago). I ended the meal with crepe Suzette. Great meal, great dining experience .

Welcome back to Red Bank! We enjoyed the food, the service, the ambiance. Great location: now there’s free parking! So glad to have these wonderful people back in Red Bank, NJ. We enjoyed the warm goat cheese salad, the rib steak, the salmon and the awesome profiteroles which are famous! (the chocolate sauce is amazing!!)

Had a delicious dinner of scallops, risotto, brie appetizer, crepes Suzette’s for dessert. Came home stuffed & BYOB is great too. Small, quiet atmosphere, nice music, good parking, good service but a little slow.

Have enjoyed several dinners at this chic little bistro. Service is always friendly, portions of a good size and I love that the vegetables accompanying the main dishes are never overcooked. We have mostly loved all entrees, particularly, the duck breast, coq au vin and monk fish. Was only once a little disappointed in a lamb special. Restaurant is a great addition to Red Bank which is overloaded with italian cuisine.

This place is very nice. It’s BYOB and the dishes are very expensive. When we were there we ordered the escargots, the scallops, coq au vin, and the creme brulee. The escargots came with a philo dough pastry and they were pleasantly soaking in butter and fresh parsley. Of our main courses, the scallops with the mushroom risotto and truffle oil were beyond anything else. The truffle flavor was so prominent in the scallops and risotto that when I took a bite I had to smell it first, because it was like eating it twice (which is exactly what I wanted to do). The mushroom risotto that came with the dish was creamy without being overbearing and a fluffy compliment to the pillow-esque scallops. As for the coq au vin, it was pretty standard coq au vin, delicious, but what you would expect exactly. The creme brulee was wonderful. Aside from the delicious food, the service was excellent and the host was like the personification of Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. French music played throughout the restaurant and the ambiance was very welcoming and friendly. The only critique I do have is that the quality of food demanded a high price, everything we ordered being between 14 – 35 with the exception of the creme brulee. Definitely coming back here for next year’s shore visit!!

Good food and excellent service. Very pleasant atmosphere. But high prices and slow kitchen. Was hoping for amazing food, but not all that memorable. Currently BYOB.

We have been there many times bringing family and our out of town guests. We were there NYE and were told that the bistro was closing. It seems we were misled and look forward to seeing you soon. Merci!
