Great chain restaurant. Quality of smoothies and other food is typically really good. We had one issue today with extra chicken. Looking at picture, the salad in the left was to have extra chicken (2oz actually). It looks identical to other. Called restaurant for credit as it was to go. They believe it was done correctly and not supporting the request for $1.50 credit. We will check order more thoroughly in front of staff next time.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The service was beyond terrible, with workers displaying a shockingly jaded attitude. I found myself waiting an excruciating 25 minutes for my smoothie, only to be left feeling utterly robbed of my money. It’s clear that whoever is running this place is doing an abysmal job. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else for your smoothie fix.

This new location is very clean and organized. I once left my sunglasses behind and the owner came out to return them to me. I recognized him, he and his wife are the same ones who run the location on Clay and they’re very nice people. Just today I came here (Pin Oak) for a real they had. Unfortunately I was not amongst the first 50 people so I didn’t qualify, but they acknowledged that I had waited for a while in line and still gave me a discount. Very good to their customers and I like Tropical whenever I’m in a pinch.

I had an unpleasant experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The older gentleman, who I assume was Indian, was quite unfriendly and seemed to have a stingy attitude. I was greeted with hostility. Furthermore, the smoothies offered here simply don’t justify their cost. I won’t be returning; it’s not worth a single penny!

Ridiculous!!!! What an awful experience! Instant blatant racism upon entering. As soon as I stepped inside I had to wait 25 min just for someone to step out from the back room. They were extremely rude and were rolling their eyes at me!! I am African American and am usually used to rude behavior but this was out of this world!!! When I asked for something extra in my smoothie I was met with a deep sigh. It’s like they were being forced to serve me and didn’t want to look at me at all!! This is a racist establishment and only hires people based off their agenda. I do not recommend this place to anyone especially to my fellow African Americans!

I was absolutely shocked when I discovered a cockroach in my smoothie at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The service was beyond disappointing, and it’s clear that there’s a serious lack of attention in the kitchen. I strongly believe that whoever is in charge needs to take immediate action to address these hygiene issues.

I love tropical smoothie. Even worked here before but today I had the worst experience. My friend and I was the first ones inside but yet everyone who ordered after us received their food first. I eventually received my food which was a chipotle chicken flatbread which was very messy but still good. Looking past the presentation, I enjoyed the food. After time goes on another family come in and they order and my friend still has not received her food. I go up and tell the cashier Margaret she still have not received any food she says “ that’s weird” and proceed to bring the other customers their drinks but instead of dropping off drinks then checking on what happened to my friend food she stand their and hold a 5 minute conversation with them neglecting my friend. I had to tell the girl in drive thru then we received the food a few minutes later. We was late going back to work because of this. The manager and girl in drive thru was very helpful and apologized for the mishap but Margaret was just HORRIBLE.

Service was absolutely awful. Seemed like everyone who worked there was miserable and suffering.I was hoping that at least the smoothie would make up for it , but the smoothies weren’t even good like I could’ve easily made a better one. All around bad experience and would not recommend to anyone!!
