My brother and I walked into the restaurant today to try out, and the first thing I noticed was the projector playing K-pop music. After walking in more, I noticed the atmosphere was different than any other place. I loved it. After being seated, the menu we were given was pretty simple to read, and there were pictures next to the item’s name. After ordering, we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I ordered a spicy BBQ chicken bowl with white rice, and we shared some fried jumbo shrimp. The food is DELICIOUS!!! I am fully enjoying this meal. I will be coming back again in the near future!

If you have read my reviews, you’ll know that I love Korean food, so when I saw CM Chicken, I thought that I was in for more good Korean cooking. Much to my surprise it is not a Korean restaurant, but mostly a fried chicken place with some Korean flair, not much but some. Price wise it is expensive for what you get. I asked for some Kimchi which usually come with all Korean meals but not here. They charged extra for it. I had a can of their special fruit flavored soda and paid full price for an 8oz can. It appears there are quite a few of these CM Chicken so I’m thinking another corporate run food joint. There is no wait staff and what service there it is real slow. There was only one table eating when I came in, but they left before I ordered.

Customer service with the waiter was very inviting. He took time to break down each food, and even encouraged me and my party to try other foods outside our comfort zone. I ordered the honey garlic Chicken tenders which were very juicy and good . We also tried the Korean cheese balls which are filled with cheese. It’s like a mozzarella cheese stick. I would order again. I look forward to trying their chicken as I heard it’s fire . Inside the restaurant you will find fun seating, with clean inviting areas, and friendly staff working. Fun Korean music and a selection of Korea ice cream and snacks to buy. The prices for sides are a bit high, but acceptable as the portion or tenders are enough even for 2 people. Display and arriving of food to table was a A+. Any extra sauce is an extra charge so be mindful of wallet. Reason I didn’t give this place a 5 star was because I have not yet tried the fired chicken, in which there is variety selection.

Starting to like this new Korean style restaurant. Very Korean and only one in this area. Only problem is nearby is Section 8 people and they roam this area sometimes. Hey but that’s Waukegan as a whole. This restaurant is very different and is sure to please. I had the Spicy BBQ chicken bowl and two drinks; one was a can of peach flavored crush. The other was their style of Strawberry Lemonade. Strawberry Lemonade was on the fruity side of taste; a bit too much for my liking. The bowl is spicy and couldn’t pronounce the name of the Korean bowl but still very good!

The food was wonderful, I was very impressed how juicy and crispy the chicken was. The rice chicken bowl was so good with the right amount of heat and flavor. The rice itself was very well made. The pickled radishes were so good, I plan on trying the Kimchi next time I come back.

It’s my friend and I’s first time dining here and it is a solid 10/10. Mr. Lee was so sweet and kind to us he offered to show us around the menu and explained everything to us. He asked us for our opinion on drinks that they should consider getting in the future to have in stock. the food portioning is also great it’s well seasoned. And all the staff here is just so incredible 100% would recommend

Great food!!! Chicken is fresh and crunchy cook made my red hot extra spicy also made extra spicy ramen it was amazing!! The service was A1 even taught me about about Korean ice cream great desert. If you are in the area come here no were else you cannot beat great food and hospitality!!
