Highly recommend! Delicious fast food BBQ restaurant with quick and courteous service! We had the regular tri-tip sandwich, which was so good! It’s served on a soft roll that’s grilled golden brown on the inside, with generous portions of smoked flavorful meat, with fresh pickled red onions and thinly sliced cucumbers, and jalapeños on the side. Also, the smoked BBQ spicy/sweet sauce is addicting! The fries are hot, crispy and seasoned well, and the coleslaw is creamy, crunchy and slightly tangy.

Located in what used to be the Redwood City dq location. The bbq restaurant has both ribs and a chicken and a variety of sides both individually and as part of family combos. The ribs were tasty, the chicken not so much. The sides were mixed Mac and cheese was good but potato salad not so much. They have a good assortment of fountain drinks but including vanilla crème soda that you can refill yourself.

Used to have amazing brisket and corn bread. May still have it, but the consistency is not there. Past few times I went, the brisket was dry. Mac and cheese wasn’t memorable. Would recommend Capelo’s across town.

So today made up my mind to try RC BBQ I ordered the Brisket Meal comes with Garlic Bread & u add on 2 sides I got Corn Bread & French Fries $17.50 for the regular size meal. The Brisket was juicy, moist but small portions & the amount of fat on the cut/ piece was a downer French fries were basic. Garlic Bread was a spread put on a bread & heated up, the Corn Bread was flat bread never seen this before but the spicy BBQ sauce on da was perfect. Won’t be back always try something new Don’t let other reviews away ur view…

I came here for lunch, and I didn’t take note of the atmosphere. I ordered the pulled pork, and after talking with another customer, I wish I had ordered the brisket. The pork was tender and not overly dry, but didn’t have a lot of flavor. I was expecting a bit more smoke. The sauces served with the meat didn’t disappoint! Some smoke came through those. Next time I’m passing through Redwood City, I’ll have to stop in and try the brisket.

Hardcore BBQ at Redwood City Barbecue! Fantastic meats, especially the brisket. Slow cooked on a gigantic Yoder smoker trailer in the parking lot, the flavors are intense and dialed right in; gorgeous smoke rings. 9 taps of all-local high end craft beers. New place so I had the trifecta: ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. All were basically perfect. Chicken and tri-tip next time. They also cater, and it would be an awesome catering option. Love it, will be back soon.

We had the brisket and tri-tip sandwiches with Mac and cheese and potatoe salad as their sides. Both sandwiches were very good, but the sides were average. Would I go back? Definitely, but I would try different sides next time.

Definitely a hidden gem for sure. Came across this place on a total fluke coming back from San Francisco. I had a brisket sandwich and fries. The meat was cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious. Portion and price is spot on. Definitely will be going again and highly recommend this place.

Pretty good. The brisket was on point, as was the bread, and pickled onions, jalapeños and onion. Mac and cheese was pretty much just milky (not cheesy) and generally the sides were pretty bland. I would come again, but just for the meat and bread. Wife had the pork ribs, she said they were fantastic but again not so happy with the sides.

It’s so nice to see barbecue in California; it seems like a rare thing. The staff are friendly at this small restaurant, which offers trays of food to self serve at your table. The big smoker is parked outside the back of the restaurant. The food was pretty good but a little uneven, and the prices were high. They might make sense at an upscale sit down barbecue place, but they felt prohibitive to bring a family here (my dinner combo with dessert was $40 for one person).
