What would a pepperoni roll be if it doesn’t look scrumptious. I know it’s tempting to dive right in there, but admire this roll before devouring. Oh my gosh, this is a meal in itself. This makes a great dish to order to a friend’s house for watching the game, or to take on a picnic, or as an office treat for your friends. It’s a great leftover to take for lunch the next day too!

Beef Gyro Sandwich
While we’re on the subject, “gyros” is the singular. You would say “I would like a gyros” (YEE-ros). In actual Greek, you’d use the accusative case, and say “I would like a gyro. This gyro is delicious.” If you want two of them, you’d say “I would like two gyri” (pronounced YEE-ree) (again, the accusative would be “I would like two gyros. These gyri are amazing.”). A Reddit commenter remarked that, in Australia, it’s transliterated phonetically as “yiros”, which makes much more sense than straight-up transliterating the Greek letters in ?????. So, there you go. Everything you never wanted to know about gyros.
$4.99
Falafel Sandwich
We just like saying it. “Falafel” Also served with hummus on pita.
$4.99
Hamburger
With so many options out there how do you decide? I know when we’re craving a juicy, fresh, soft bun, lettuce, tomatoes, pickle hamburger we go to Alex’s Corner Pizza Shop.
$3.99
Cheeseburger
We don’t like to brag or beg. We’ll just let our signature beef patty topped with a simple layer of melted American cheese, crinkle cut pickles, yellow mustard, and ketchup on a sesame seed bun speak for itself. Pick me Pick me. The best burger in East Pittsburgh hands down.

Cozy little shop. I walked past Alex’s Corner Pizza Shop while walking Bike Pittsburgh. The streets from Oakland to Bloomfield were closed from 10am-2pm. The shop was grilling out hamburgers and hotdogs. I couldn’t believe how affordable their prices were: $3.99 for hamburgers, $1.99 for hotdogs, and only $1 for bottled water. I decided to take my boys to lunch! We were immediately greeted by the owner, his wife, and daughter. They were super friendly, welcoming, and inviting. We ordered a pizza half pepperoni half cheese, hamburger, hotdogs and three waters. It was only $22! That’s AMAZING. Everything was excellent including the service. They only have one table inside but it was perfect. They also sell an assortment of snacks. I was shocke, a pack of Oreos was only $.99! Great place, great food, and great people. The owner showed me a poem written by Rachel Ann Bovier. I totally agree with her! Thank you for your hospitality! We will be back!

This shop is run by Alex and his wife, whose name is escaping me at the moment, but my Dad and I order there often. Always hot, fresh, good food and good pricing, with plenty of options. I don’t see their prices at any other restaurant, esp with inflation these days. Super affordable. They’re both friendly people and are hard working small business owners.

Only had the pizza, but it was disappointing. Also the 16″ large was 12″. No idea how big the 12″ small would have been.
