Not only is the food here AMAZING, the service is wonderful as well! I always get the sunshine roll (It’s the best roll in town in my opinion) The food is always fresh and on point, I eat here all the time and my order has always been correct! The owners are so kind and very hospitable, 10/10 I will always come here for my sushi!! It’s hard to find good sushi in Lynchburg, but once you’ve been to Yamato , you don’t need to look any further, because the best sushi in town is served here!

Yamato is a great place to go if you are craving really good sushi combined with friendly customer service! We have always been happy with our food as it is consistently terrific…not hit and miss as some other sushi places we’ve tried in the area. They are a family run business that takes great pride in providing freshly prepared food! Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Don’t eat there. The food tasted like it came from the frozen food aisle. I had the shrimp tempura bento box and a spicy tuna roll. The tuna had been frozen and had No flavor. There is no dining in. You can only order at a walk-up window with full covid protection.

Every time I come here, my expectations are blown out of the water! The family who runs the restaurant takes the time to learn their loyal customers names and always greets my husband and I warmly as friends. Came through the drive through for a simple pregnancy craving and drove off afterwards feeling like we had spent time together with dear and true friends

One of the best spots around! My roommates and I live down the street and walk here every week or two for dinner. After many visits over the past couple years I can confidently say that I have never had a bad experience. The food is fantastic every single time and the restaurant owners are some of the nicest people who always give the best service. Prices are solid, especially given the amount of food you get. A great break from all of the american fast food chains around here.

This was my first time trying Yamato and I had it delivered through Doordash. It will also be my last time. I ordered the hibachi vegetables and a large yum yum sauce. The vegetables were soggy and bland and the yum yum sauce was AWFUL! I normally smother my hibachi in sauce but theirs is horrible and went straight into the trash. My meal left me out of $20 and not wanting hibachi for a while!
