Trendy, fun, and delicious! I highly recommend reservations. My first visit was impromptu and was lucky enough to get a spot at the bar. My second visit was with reservations which I was able to change last minute AND show up early and get the table. Service is phenomenal both tableside and barside. I’ve tried several menu items and loved all of them. The charcuterie board is a must!! So many fun food items and different everytime! It’s nice to have a trendy date night spot in Northeast Minneapolis!

Very hip small stop in the busy NE. Typically is very busy and bustling, especially around dinner time, but popping in before noon leads to a very quiet and quick service. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich with the fries, so good! Pricing is definitely on the bougier side, but portions, quality, and ambiance make up for it. Indoor, bar, and outdoor seating. Free wifi.

Sidebar is another understated but totally delicious restaurant in Minneapolis. The menus (food and drinks) are regularly updated with seasonal items or whatever is inspiring the chef lately. Each dish has nuance and creativity without being pretentious. The atmosphere is on the nicer end of casual though I’ve seen everything from cargo shorts and flip flops to suits and dresses, so it’s really up to you. The bartenders are my favorite ever. Their drink menu is fabulous, but if you’re not feeling one of those, their bartenders will happily take on the challenge of making something else or creating entirely unique cocktails for you. If there was one thing I wish was different it would be that they had more space. Thankfully in the summer months they have outdoor seating, but in the winter be sure to book a reservation if you are not aiming for a bar seat as they fill up fast at peak meal times.

Our party of 4 sat outside on a Tuesday night. We started with the charcuterie board which was excellent. For our mains we had the vodka spaghetti, ravioli, Mac n cheese; and the steak. All four entrees were delicious and our server was awesome! Highly recommend sidebar and can’t wait to come back this winter and sit inside. The atmosphere inside seems super cool!

The employees are always friendly and helpful. The food is always great! They have a wonderful selection of European cheeses, sides, and treats. They also sell other specialty imports. I will say, I have never been on the side of the wine area.

Nice ambient bar & restaurant attached to Surdyks Liquor store. The host & sever were very friendly and helpful. Menu changes from time and the variety of options is limited (A 4% wellness is added to the bill). The bartender definitely knows how to make good cocktails. The hot honey and cheese curds were delicious. It was a decent classic cheeseburger & fries.

I enjoyed a long lunch at the cozy bar top corner. This is a wonderful little bar and restaurant attached to a local icon specialty grocery. Really good food, cocktails, local beer taps and wine list.

Drinks: actually spectacular. Really enjoyed the two cocktails I tried. Rarely are cocktails these days worth the $10 to $15 they cost, but these got close.

4/23/22: our server, Daniel A, was excellent and very friendly. I enjoy the Wild & Pear Free NA drink, my wife liked her Start Me Up cocktail. My wife’s Alabama White BBQ Spare Ribs were very good. My order of the Campanelle Shrimp Fra Diavolo was OK, everything came out look kind of brownish, not appealing. I wish the chef would have topped it with some fresh herbs for a nicer presentation. All in all: service was a 5-star, food was a 4-star.
