We went to La Voile for my wife’s birthday. The experience was mixed at best. The three star rating may be a bit generous.

We were Very disappointed. We have Been to their newberry location before and it was great. This one even with the same menu seems like different restaurant . Same food that we tried in their other locations and loved there was not good at all. Scallops were bad, escargots were not good . Both mine and my sister stomach did hurt after that restaurant. Not good !!. Risotto and onion soup were ok. We Will never be back .

Always perfection. The bread and butter are to die for. The risotto is so flavorful, the green salad is divine, the salmon cannot be beat and the drinks and desserts are just top notch.

Food wasn’t horrible but wouldn’t go back again. The place have a weird musky smell, reminds me of an old mop. The duck confit was just dry and overcooked and burnt on the sides. The escargot was very bland. The creme brulee custard was granulated.

This is my first time my wife and I tried French food. We started with the pate and risotto, and they were delicious. The risotto was creamy but not too heavy so you can actually finish the whole plate. Our 1yr old also loved the dish. The chicken liver pate came was less salty compared to the duck liver pate that I have tried. I finished it but I wished they gave me more bread. For the main course, we ordered the braised beef and duck confit. The duck confit is a must try! The skin was so crispy and the meat was so tender.

I like this restaurant. I have been to their sister restaurant in Backbay and had a great experience. I enjoyed their food and wines. The waiter was very nice and friendly. The wine he suggested was good pairing with my dinner.

Lovely local french bistro, conveniently located. Had a few of the escargot before taking the picture. Lunch was so filling, couldn’t get to the dessert (next time). Try the prix fixe menu with a friend to get a cross menu sampling.
