First time here based on a recommendation and I was blown away at their quality. Super fresh, mouth watering, it just melts. Everything the chef recommended was spot on. They have real wasabi too. Love the miso. Great service filling up my tea. 10/10. By far the best quality sushi anywhere around.

This place is as authentic as it gets in Ventura County. The head chef is incredibly nice, although also traditional. If you are looking for incredible sushi or hard to find quality and service, this is the place. I am currently learning Japanese and every employee at Kanda gets extremely excited when I speak it. This place is such an amazing environment, please go there. Only warning I can give is the sushi is very traditional, don’t try to order special rolls or bathe your food in sauce.

First time eating here – among the best sushi restaurants I have eaten at. Authentic Japanese experience – not an Amercianized experience with sauces and specialized rolls. My friends and I went with the omakase, and every piece of fish was a unique flavor experience. Many of the varieties of fish available were direct from Japan and not found at other places I’ve been – barracuda was a highlight. The service at the sushi bar was perfect. Highly recommend.

I’ve tried sushi at every good sushi place in Ventura County and this place has the absolute best quality sushi. You will not find fancy rolls here all gunked up with sauce so that you can’t tell if you’re eating good sushi or road kill. Kanda is a very traditional Japanese-style sushi bar. The star here is nigiri sushi. It’s pricey but worth every cent.
