Always a go to franchise to visit even when coming from out of town! This particular one is my local restaurant. They are generally always friendly and have good service. This time was no exception, even though the were quiet busy. I got the shrimp plate with Mac’n cheese and fried okra,( I forgot the specific name, maybe it’s fried popcorn shrimp platter…) and my friend got the roast beef with steamed broccoli and fried okra.

This was by far the worst experience that I’ve had here. Wait time for a table of 8 was pretty good. 20 min. That’s why service got a couple stars. We ordered our food. Our drinks came and then nothing. Kitchen was pumping out food rather quickly. Tables clearing and being sat again. Typical for the CB. So here it goes down hill. The tables that were sat 10 to 15 min after us began getting their food and we asked the server where our food was, and we got the kitchen is backed up and someone had waited longer. So someone forgot our order or thought because a table of 8 we should have to wait? The manager never did a table stop, so there wasn’t a known issue. All we got was a sorry kitchen is slow. No, no, it wasn’t. It was actually pumping food quick as CB normally does. Break your table up if you want quick service. Otherwise, you get put on the back burner. When the food did come, you could tell it was under a heat lamp. The cheese was no longer gooey but came off in one square. The food was warm. Must have been something else.

We have eaten at Cracker Barrel all over the south and have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. This experience however was well below what we expected. First the food was good and similar to our other visits but the service had room for improvement. We had a typical 10 to 15 minute wait which was expected for Saturday lunch. After we were seated the hostess came and took our drink order. After a little wait, approximately 10 minutes, the waitress took our food order. She was apologetic for our wait and was helpful with our order. That was the last time we saw her. A different waitress brought our food and my meal was missing one item. After another 10 to 15 minute wait, we stopped another waitress to get her to bring my missing food item. No one came after to check on us and no one brought the check when we were finished. We went to the register to pay and told them the issues. ANOTHER waitress came and I had to show her the table where we were sitting in order to get our check. No apologies or offer to make it right. We paid for our food and a couple of items we got from the store. We will not be visiting this location again and will not recommend.

We met a friend for breakfast. We were seated in no time (maybe 10 minutes-just enough time to browse in gift shop), and were served a delicious meal. We were there over an hour but never felt pressured to give up our table. Staff attentive but not pushy. A lovely time.

It was good. Hashbrown casserole was cold and hard as a rock. 3 of us got it and none of ate it. But if that’s my only problem we are good because the chicken and dumplings we hot and really good
