About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

My experience at this establishment was a great one. I want to give a shout out to the young lady at the counter with the red hair, sorry dont know her name this is my best description of this TRUE professional. I have never seen such a young energetic individual very professional, well spoken and confident about her job. I was blown away with her professionalism and maturity. To management you have the right person at the counter, first impressions matter. As for the pizza hands down Lou Malnati best pizza ever.

Im from Iowa and heard a lot of hype over the years about this place. This place was awful. Didn’t put any cheese on my pizza. The receipt says I ordered it that way, but I have never, ever ordered a pizza without cheese. Why would I do that? It was a cold tomato pie. On top of that, maybe 12 chunks of sausage when the receipt even says crumbled sausage. And it was maybe room temp.

The pizza is good but Lou’s really needs to stop with the price increases. In the last two years, our weekly order has gone up over 33%. Needless to say, we are no longer ordering from them.

I just moved out this way and this Lou’s was a real disappointment. I ordered online for carry out and still had to wait 20 minutes longer than the pick up time they gave me.

The manager blamed the soggy crust on us getting the pizza cut. This has never happened. The crust is disgusting and looks like it was dropped in a puddle

I’ve had pizza from several different locations. The Oswego location has consistently been the tastiest. The staff is very friendly.

Ordered for pick up and really liked the curbside system, which the service was good, even on a busy night. The food was very good and I am looking forward to the leftovers.

My favorite Chicago deep dish pizza! Glad we finally have a takeout facility in Oswego as I used to drive 40 minutes round trip to Naperville for this food!
