It was my first time staying in Alabama. I was there to visit my future-wife’s wonderful family. They took me to this place and it was AWESOME. Food was so GOOOOOOOD. I can’t wait to visit Alabama just to go here again. I’m a sucker for soul-food. BTW, the peach cobbler is a must.

We recently found this place and tried it out. I’m so thankful we did! The food tastes like the kitchen staff know what they are doing, most places like this are so bland..but not this one. My husband and I were super impressed. The atmosphere feels like a country steakhouse. The food is done cafeteria style with people plating food for you. I love the food options. There were lots of choices and that’s one of my favorite things about it. The taste was awesome. My favorite home cooking in Columbus, MS so far.

This place was soooooo delicious…almost made me wanna miss my flight back to California! I wanted to eat real authentic soul food while here and this place had it all!! I had the fried chicken, collard greens, squash casserole, candied yams, mash potatoes, sweet tea and peach cobbler. This was definitely made with love! Thanks, Becky, for telling me about the squash casserole! OMG that’s a must have! If you’re ever in Columbus, Ms…you must try!

Waited 45 minutes still no food. 8 different people came in after us. came, ate, and left, and still no food for our table. We had to ask for our order to be taken because the staff was busy visiting with other new comers. . We had to continue to ask about it. Excuses were we are the only servers and we only have one cook. But they were very friendly with the people who came and went. So if you are a stranger in town DO NOT EXPECT to eat here. We finally left after 45 minutes still no food. With the same excuses. If I could give a negative number I would. Or make friends before going. Very disappointed in the term country.
