I really enjoyed the food here. The jerk chicken was really tasty. The mac and cheese could be cheesier, but nevertheless overall it was good. I I am convinced that some of my food was microwaved. Some parts of my food were hotter than others, and the heat was not evenly distributed. I recommend anything jerk on the menu.

My favorite Jamaican Restaurant by far! I have been a customer for several years – the food is always delicious and steaming hot; the service is always top (they know most of their customers by name). The place is rather small so doesn’t accomodate crowds well but I count that as a blessing as they have crowd appeal! Since they no longer accept credit or debit cards, it is a little more difficult to always have cash (especially when ordering for the whole family) but the sacrifice is worth it! The meat pies and peas and rice are the very best! yes, 5 stars!

Great Jamaican jerk chicken! Very friendly staff helped up decide what to get. The portion sizes were huge and prices were cheap. For 50 bucks we had drinks and dinner for 4 people and then had enough for lunch the next day. Food was out of this world! Catfish was delicious. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to have a delicious and affordable meal to take home for the night.

Major disappointment this is not authentic jerk chicken ! I’ve been eating jerk chicken in Chicago and the Chicagoland area for over twenty years from Maxine’s (no longer in business but was excellent) to Joe’s to Tropic Island and little spots in between.

First time here and I must say it’s disappointing to me. I’m new to the neighborhood and decided to google Jerk restaurants near me and chose this place because of the rating. Entered the door and you have 2 young adults workin the front desk. They both have zero customer service skills. The young Whom took our order sat on a stool by the wall very nonchalant and with an uninviting disposition. I felt extremely rushed while my order was being taken considering I just walked in the door 1st time there and was trying to look an see what they had to offer . The young man that where there was just as nonchalant as the young lady more interested in what’s on their cell phone than the customers at hand. Their body language was blah and Very disappointing. I’m not sure how the food is quite yet because I’m still waiting but considering I’m really big upon customer service seeing that I work in the customer service field as well I know for a fact. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE NOR RECOMMEND IT. My advice is get a better front desk staff before they drive your business down.

I used to love this place…I was a regular bcus I lived in the neighborhood. Lately it’s been horrible. I ordered my usual the jerk chicken salad. My 7 yr old granddaughter said ” your food doesn’t look good” she opened my package bcus she likes to eat the chicken. She was right, I looked at it, the chicken was obviously old and some pieces were hard as rocks and very dark. I called and told them about it, the lady said I can come back. I went back the next day. It was just ok. So today I tried again, mediocre at best. Cashier has no customer service skills. When are the owners coming back? While they are away opening another store in Atlanta, this out is gonna be out of business. If anyone knows how to reach the owners, please let em know, several customers are unhappy with the food and service . Oh yes, no jerk sauce with the salad today. I’m done….Eia

Pleasant staff, no long wait, food was good, seasoned well, the jerk sauce was a little bland for my palate, but otherwise tasty. I had escovitched cat fish with rice and peas and cabbage. Prices were fine. Only reason I didn’t give 5stars due to limited side options. Only cabbage, rice peas, plantains. I would have like to have seen callaloo, mac and cheese, yams.

Best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. I’ve order everything off there menu and was blown away by every dish I’ve eaten. Bold flavors and seasoned to perfection. The food is always cooked fresh, service is always great and I will tell everyone I know to eat there because they won’t be disappointed. P.s I’m ordering as I’m writing this review!! Lol
