Went here for dinner with a couple friends. The restaurant is very cute, with the main seating area having a wall of windows with a lot of natural light, and wood paneling making the place feel cozy. Our server was attentive. The food was excellent. The garlic edamame came with fresh toasted garlic. The mackerel sashimi was fantastic. We also ordered a variety of rolls, and all were excellent. Will definitely go back.

Quality ingredients are used in the sushi, just be prepared to wait if going on a weekend. The drinks were not my favorite tried the Lavender Cosmo (I love lavender and this tasted like soap) and the Japanese Old Fashioned was meh. The atmosphere depends on who is seated near you as the tables are close to your neighbors. Went for a weekend date night and will only try again on a weekday.

As a local realtor who works, lives and plays in Downtown Bentonville it is so much fun to take out of town clients to AOI. They are always surprised that we can get such fresh sushi living in the heartland of the country. The owners, Barry and April fly the freshest seafood in daily….and you can tell! The local favorites include the Wicked Tuna and Crispy Rice. I like to order the Chef’s Choice Sashimi..it has never been a disappointment. AOI also features one of the top two bartenders in Bentonville (in my humble opinion). Jose always greets you with a big smile and he remembers what you like. His drinks are creative and he is always a joy to talk to. All the service staff are top notch. You will want to make reservations because it will fill up fast…especially on the weekends.

Kierstyn was an excellent server and the sushi chefs were all friendly and wonderfully talented! We got the Alaskan King roll, Bourbon roll, and AOI choice roll and they were all amazing. It was our 2nd time dining at this restaurant, this time celebrating our wedding anniversary. They were very accommodating to our gluten free needs. We will definitely be back!

The Nigri was delicious and well presented. Ayla was our server and did a fantastic job of informing us of the menu and was very quick and attentive. On her recommendation, we got the special which was a spring roll, a little on the big side but very good. We asked for an extra spicy tuna roll and it was incredible.

One of the best (if not THE best) sushi places in the area. The inside is beautiful and they have a cute courtyard with outdoor seating as well. Friendly and prompt staff during lunch hour. We ordered the Aoi love, Kasai, and lobster paradise. Hard to pick a favorite because they’re all so good! You get a lot of sushi pieces per roll and they’re tightly rolled to perfection. Highly recommend!

I was with a party of 6 and was a birthday group. The decor was nice and felt premier. We had reservations for 7. I went to the restroom and was severely disappointed. They had NO Hot water! The door’s slow hinge was ripped off, the antibacterial soap was out, and the trash was overflowing. The staff was friendly and had a good humor. Our server, Jaclyn was super personable. The downfall was we waited an entire hour for our food, they were out of the miso soup, and the lamb. They did comp my girlfriend’s soup rightfully. The upside was the food was delicious and very well presented. The restaurant was really understaffed and everyone was rushed.I really hope they get it together. Overall the food and the friendly staff were the best redeeming qualities.
