I tried this place for the first time. A great disappointment, the only thing you can’t screw up is core Chow Mein. It was flavorless, like a chopped cup of noodles without seasoning. The orange chicken was a 5 out 10. The BBQ pork was a 5 out of 10. Won’t be coming back for $10 a plate. The staff while mildly neutral. Their service was okay. I honestly threw most of the noodles into the trash bin.

This “was” my very favorite chinese restaurant for barbecue pork for the past 20 years. Recently moved from their original location to a new location on West Orangethorpe about a mile away… That in and of itself is no big deal, however i having been coming to this restaurant for 20 years and I did not recognize a single person in the new restaurant, and while the recipes seem to be the same the quality of the food was not. The barbecue pork was dry, the beef was bland. I might give it one more try… But it was very disappointing for how far away it is from where I live.

Short server man is so unprofessional so disrespectful! He had the nerve to go to our table and tell us we couldn’t sit down and eat if we ordered to go. We did that because we always end up asking for to go boxes. We paid for our food so what difference would it be. I went to complain about the server yelling and the cashier man reacted just about the same. So unprofessional. My family and I have been customers for over 20 years. The owner needs to train the employees on how to speak in a respectful manner! It’s a business.

This will be the last time I will be eating food from here, after purchasing $60 dollars of food to go.I was charged additional $2.00 for requesting extra chili this is ridiculous, they definitely lost my business, And to top it off the food was cold & dry like it had been sitting for awhile since moving to new location this place has went downhill. Please be aware of hidden charges.

I asked for a sample of honey chicken so I could gauge its taste and freshness. They ignored my request and proceeded to just serve it to me. Parts of the serving were very stale, and had a cardboard texture to the breading. That chicken had to be there for hours to get to that point of staleness. Instead of tossing away the old batch, they mix it together with the new batch. This resulted in the inconsistent quality I received. The taste was okay, but I’m sure could have been better if they tossed away the old stuff.

Nice restaurant to eat Chinese food. Price is okay! I have been coming for more than 10 years. Customer service is really good. Friendly staff! Today the Chicken Teriyaki was really dry and hard. BBQ Pork was black and dry at the ends. The Jalapeño Spicy Chicken had sooo much pepper that that was all you could taste rather than spicy jalapeños. Honey and Orange Chicken has too much breeding. Chow Mein and rice are usually good at all times. I would usually give them 5 stars but not today.

Hot Wok was a tradition is out family. Been coming to this place for a very long time. But I will say since they moved locations the food is not the same, the atmosphere definitely not the same at all. A little disappointed in this new change.
