Café Routier is an upscale restaurant that absolutely always delivers the best quality. The menu, changing seasonally, is consistently delightful. While moderately expensive, this restaurant embodies the idea of “you get what you pay for” and is hands-down a must visit at least once while in the area.

Nice spot and lovely experience. I wouldn’t do the fajitas but everything else we ordered was good.

This place is consistently one of the best restaurants on the shoreline for many years. Fun, busy bar for great wine by the glass and delicious food. I think it’s gotten a little pricey but there is a lounge menu and you can keep the price down by just sharing a couple of appetizers. That said, I do think it’s totally worth a splurge night out. And where does he find that gorgeous wait staff!?

We have been going to this establishment for 27 years since it opened in its first location in OS. It has always been good and still is. This time we ate in the bar on a summer Friday at 5:30 pm and loved it. Great banquette table. Cocktails were great, as were fish entrees. I has halibut, a bit too much time under the broiler, and the sauce could be more corn flavor, but overall very good. Husband’s flounder was good too. Profiteroles were yummy! Service was excellent. Terrific atmosphere. Crowd was couples over 50.

Café Routier offers a very nice fine dining atmosphere. If you’re looking for decadent dishes paired with a wide selection of wines, then this is the spot for you. Service is great and food is even better. Also make sure you pace yourself because you don’t want to pass up on the desserts.

Went for dinner with friends. When arrived the bar was bare and plenty of tables which is odd for a Friday night in the summer…the service was great but my meal was subpar …tried the chicken Marsala which was ok I had the veal chop which was dry and fried tasted like fried bread crumbs…with a tossed salad on top. The potatoes tasted like vinegar….very disappointing I used to like that place especially for a special occasion…

Unique environment, appetizing menu offerings, congenial staff. Appears to have regular patrons. We had the broccoli rabe w homemade bread to soak up the yummy juice & spring rolls. Both were yummy. We look forward to returning. Only negative is the restrooms are up a tall, carpeted staircase. Can be challenging for patrons to utilize. (Surprisingly, there is no mirror in the ladies room!)

The food and service here is outstanding! Everytime I go to this restaurant, it keeps getting better and better. Had the Duck Confit Gnocchi app, Surf and Turf…perfection. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Definitely recommend!

Such a great meal at the bar and Albert creates fantastic martinis. We had the bouillabaisse which was cooked to perfection, mussels, house made fries with a traditional French aioli and a fabulous Endive and Arugula salad. While the restaurant has been here a very long time, this was our first visit. We’ll be back!

We didn’t have reservations, but came early enough that we were sitted right away. Service was nice and quick. Food was good as well. Kobe sliders were delicious, Mexican salad tasty and summer pasta was good. Bulgogi was a bit salty. Over all, nice experience.
