The double cooked pork belly was tender and delicious. I tried the pan fried pork dumplings and they were pretty bland.. they are apparently frozen, but the shrimp dumplings were made fresh, and those did taste good.

The food and service at Cheng’s was fantastic. The egg roll was the perfect amount of crunch while still soft on the inside. The Mongolian beef was the most delicious sweet and savory. The garlic pork was cooked with the perfect amount of spice. We had a great experience. The owner came around to our table to speak with us. A very, very kind man. I recommend a visit!

My wife had lunch. This was the chicken with low mein noodles. Our first time here and will be a regular patron. No buffet all AlaCart. Food and service was excellent. My lunch cost was $16.00 that included wonton soup. Upscale and very clean and organized. 5 stars for sure

Best “American-style” Chinese food in the area. Portion sizes are huge and the prices are reasonable. The hot and sour soup was excellent, as was the Kung pao chicken. Recommend trying this place, I thought it was great!

The best Chinese food by far in South Louisiana. The flavors were complex, balanced, and simple- all at once. I felt I was on Top Chef tasting the winning dishes. Hyperbole. Perhaps. Yet, the meal was excellent. The service was attentive yet respectful. I look forward to going back for the chef specials, off the menu specials, and the many highly recommended dishes.

I’ve been reading about this place on a local food group so we decided to stop by when in Baton Rouge recently. It was definitely worth the trip and lived up to its online reputation. The Five Spice Chicken will definitely be my go-to as it’s even better than my favorite dish from Chinatown in Los Angeles.

Great lunch menu and friendly service. Lunch portions are a good size and the Sichuan shrimp had the right amount of spiciness.
