The table was not ready for five people .we ordered pizza and spaghetti it looked and taste it was from a frozen dinner .The spaghetti was cold and watery it looked and taste like it came from a can of Heintz. The pizza was so thin and hard it looked it came from a frozen T.V dinner .Everybody’s dinner was cold .The only thing cold was the salad .The price was for the dinner was so ridiculous. If you want good Italian food go to Mi Piace in Pasadena and it’s almost has the same prices .The reason you are paying high prices is because has nice a romantic and peaceful environment .

Cool, stylish, modern yet with a traditional feel. It’s like your neighborhood specialty coffee shop except for California Italian food.

Our server, Gigi, was fantastic! A lot of fun yet professional making our experience very enjoyable. My only objection was the shrimp in my noodle bowl were over cooked. Just shy of very rubbery. My wife had the salmon dish. It was overly salted. Other than that, the meal was wonderful. My guests enjoyed their meals as well. They do serve large portions.

I’ve been to this restaurant before and have always had a good time. That is until this weekend. Sitting at the patio was a group of DRUNK, obnoxious and literally shouting men. One who could barely walk. But yet the staff not only kept serving them shots, but sat at the table with them. Highly unprofessional and a horrible experience for the rest of the customers who were not only paying for this ridiculous drunken show, but had to endure it. Highly disappointed.

A neighborhood family owned gem for some legit house made pasta. Scallop risotto was on point & better than Spago in Beverly Hills! Oh and the refreshing clam linguini, grilled salmon salad, and that bone marrow. service was warm & friendly. We had a birthday dinner there and everyone was happy!!

Overwhelmingly mediocre. Charcuterie board is basically a costco pack. Wine and bread both seemed stale and slightly sour.

Celebrated a birthday here. The service was great. The food was freshly made with reasonable prices. I will definitely come back again.

We came here a year ago and the food was pretty good… Came back last weekend, what a change… As you can see from the photos, the place looks like a rummage sale for grandma’s hoarding basement. Between the ridiculous amount of birdcages, the random altars, the strange idols, and the industrial strength fans constantly going, this place has steamrolled past eclectic and is just downright strange. Sadly, this isn’t the worst thing about this place. The initial server who brought us our bread didn’t say a word and literally tossed the basket on the table. We ordered the escargot mushrooms, which were so bland and tasteless, followed by the scampi for two, which would’ve been better named as the ice cold scampi for a football team. It was a 24 inch diameter plate heaped with about 4 pounds of ice cold pasta and about an inch of water at the bottom. So, to sum it up, Giovanni’s used to be good, but now it’s better to just drop $100 in the trash. At least then you won’t risk food poisoning.
