Popped in here with our guide for lunch after a fun filled morning of local fishing. To be fair its a hole in the wall kinda place with all sorts of charm. The food was very good, being half starved made it into the best food of the day. The patty melt and onion rings really hit the spot.

Peggy’s is the real deal. Fresh food, the best burgers ever (try the patty melt!), fried or grilled fish, and great sides. Today I got fried catfish and it was fantastic! Check them out.

Booth had a few people at it. We went outside to eat in the back. Very filthy. And it was extremely dangerous. The boards where literally coming up. As we walked past the restrooms all you could smell is Urine. Very strong odor. We ordered couple burgers, onion rings and a kids grilled shrimp. My grandson didn’t eat his burger. He didn’t like it all. My granddaughter liked the grilled shrimp. They didn’t like the onion rings.(no flavor) We came back inside to eat. The food was cold. Yet it took us a hour waiting to get it. nobody was there. It was little before 2pm when we got there I saw atleast 2 people working and 2 people out back that seemed Ike they may work there as well, on break I think. Our waitress was nice. The burger was not horrible but it wasn’t amazing either. Especially for the amount of time we waited. Our bill was almost 50 bucks. For 2 burgers, fries and or onion rings, kids burger, kids grilled shrimp fries and or onion rings.. They was out of the crab cakes. I guess they took that off our bill. And 4 sodas.

An excellent little family owned local dinner/dive. Nothing fancy or bougie about it but the burgers are great and the folks are nice.

Hurricane Harvey took most of this place’s size and menu. The catfish “whisker”poboy and the house made crab cakes were well worth the drive over. I am sure that the owners will build more out when they can. The small dining room was charming and cozy.

Came here on a Sunday by boat….they only had half the menu items available, place smelled like dog and restroom. As we were eating 2 dogs came in and sat with us…there was no dock for boats to pull up too…place is ok in appearance but smelled and seperated into different rooms. Looks nothing like the pictures…posting this before i eat….so stay tuned for food report….food was still good but place needs santatized

Everything about this place is what you’d expect for an on the bayou restaurant…. it’s pretty great. The food is fresh and made to order, so make sure you factor in a little bit of time for that. The staff makes sure you’re taken care of, and the atmosphere is super laid back

Great food. Will return soon. Had lunch with a friend there today. He had a burger he couldn’t finish. I had the shrimp burger….more than enough to eat!
