I went here for the first time recently and I was excited to go but I think I ordered the wrong dishes. I didn’t love anything I ordered. The fried calamari was oily and chewy, the sauce that came with it was way too sweet for me and the baked sushi dish I got was also really sweet.

Always a great experience when we go. The sushi is delicious and portions are generous in contrast with many other places. Service is always great and everyone is friendly. Atmosphere is typical of a sushi bar. It doesn’t really add or take away from the experience in my opinion. When we want good sushi without dropping over a hundred dollars this is the place we choose. Would always recommend.

Masa is a popping spot with really great food, consistent wait staff and an awesome ambiance. The girls that always serve me are so nice and always willing to help. They are the reason I keep coming back. The portion sizes are great for the price and I love that they have a little bar of you want to go on a solo excursion. Overall five stars and would recommend this delicious spot to any of my friends. If you haven’t been yet, make it your next Gilbert spot.

Visited the place for dinner around 6pm place was almost full (indoors and outdoors) took few minutes to find us a table. Their menu is huge!! One of the things that I loved Their combos we ordered couple of combos in which you’ll have 4 pcs of each !

We haven’t had MASA in years. Sushi was so fresh. The fish just melts in your mouth. We got the yellowtail love combo and the half killer shrimp and half Philly crunch. You get a soup and salad with purchase, which is a plus.

The service and atmosphere were fine. Where this restaurant fails is its food. We had ordered 4 items, spicy tuna roll, salmon, scallop, and eel nigiri. The spicy tuna was very sweet, making me suspect the quality of the fish was poor; so in order to compensate, they had to sweeten it to where you could not taste the fish. The salmon and scallop were both very bitter and tasted off. It was difficult to taste the eel because of the amount of eel sauce used. They also served miso soup before the meal, and it was extremely salty, enough so we could not eat it.

This is definitely a food place for sushi, they have a solid selection of rolls. The flavor is very good as the rolls are very balanced, from the taste of the fish to the rice. Their a certain level of finesse and care in the rolls that the chefs make. One thing I would really like would be fresh draft beer, since they only serve bottled beer. But, honestly is decent in terms of beers and drinks.
