I drive all over TX and eat BBQ almost every weekend in a different town, and this place is now in my top 3 for BBQ. For around $15 I had a 3 meat plate (I got brisket, ribs, and sausage). First off, the BBQ sausage I believe is the best I’ve ever had. The ribs were cooked just right and had a slight smoke flavor to them, not overpowering the meat at all. The brisket had a great texture, not dry at all (I have had juicier brisket, but no complaints here). Personally, I like a little more seasoning on brisket and ribs, but understand that not everyone does. My sides were beans and potato salad. The potato salad was exactly what I look for, mustard based, not overly sweetened, and just the right amount of chunks. When the man behind the counter asked what sauce I wanted, I asked him if it really needed sauce. He said he would put it in a cup on the side and recommended a mix of the spicy and regular. It was a perfect suggestion. In my opinion, nothing really needed sauce, but the sauce was.dang good and I ended up using it anyways. The pepper sauce on the table was outstanding too. Atmosphere was exactly what I look for in a BBQ joint. Wood outside, not too big, and fitting music playing inside. Every member of the staff that I spoke to was friendly. Tables were clean. Bathrooms were clean. And to top it all of, a member of the staff came by regularly checking on me and offering fresh rolls. I will be back next time.I am in the area.

The food here is great…when they have food. The past year it seems like they run out of meat and sides by 5pm. Sausage and brisket is top notch when they have it though. Hot roles and bbq sauce is some of the best I have ever had.

We do takeout often from Raymond’s BBQ. They are your standard cafeteria style BBQ restaurant serving brisket, sausage, turkey, pulled pork and ribs. They have several standard fare sides to choose from as well. We usually bring home smoked turkey / chopped brisket (make our own sanwiches at home), BBQ stew, and banana pudding. Their sauces (reg, sweet, and spicy) are pretty good, but I’m not as big of a fan of their other sides. Pinto beans are decent, the baked beans have far too much onion for my own taste, and their cole slaw is more savory of which I’m not a fan. These are my personal tastes, so you need to try them to figure out what you like and don’t like. The folks working there are nice and it seems to be family owned and operated. I personally don’t like to dine in…it’s not a big place and between the noises of the kitchen and the music playing on the TV I don’t find the atmosphere to be relaxing…too many competing sounds while trying to have a conversation. Again, that’s just my preference tho. But we have found what works for us at Raymond’s and plan to be loyal customers for years to come.

Wow! I just put this place on a short list of great places to eat. I ate everything on my plate,Took all the manners I could muster not to lick it clean. Go for the spicy barbecue sauce, it’s great!

Been eating here since I was a kid. We went and ate there today stingy with the rolls which could hardly eat them cause they were so hard. Service was very poor definitely not how it used to be. Really needs better management.

Everything is so good. The brisket is amazing. Full of flavor and they deliver hot rolls to your table throughout your meal.

We purchased 3 baked potatoes with brisket. Two sides were baked beans and one was potato salad. This was delicious and cheap! $25 for everything and we gave a $5 tip.

Lets be clear….I am a Yankee. Now that we have that clear, if I came to Texas and wanted a taste of true Texas BBQ, I would come to this hometown favorite. Staff was super southern sweet and the BBQ was impeccable! Priced so well and served with a Texas twang. This place will not disappoint.
