Went in for lunch. This was our first time in. It was clean and bright and I liked the decor. There is a nice big outdoor patio should you want to sit outside. I ordered the Blackened Caesar salad with shrimp and it was delicious. My husband ordered the fried catfish and shrimp and he said it was good. He also said the tarter sauce was tasty which is important to him! We also got an order of fried pickles with ranch. Yum! Our server was nice and attentive.

Quick service and amazing food. Was recommended to go to this spot specifically and they did not disappoint! I got the fried catfish and it was just so tender and flavorful. Hush puppies were not my kind of thing but just personal preference.

Is this my favorite midtown restaurant? Yes! Every single item is prepared with care and served at its peak. The best blackened catfish I’ve ever had, and I grew up in the MS delta y’all. Possibly the best collard greens I’ve ever had too. I love their food, but don’t get the chicken wings. Get fish. Or a veggie plate. You can’t go wrong. The baked sweet potato side comes with cinnamon butter that’s not sweet, it’s amazing. The sweet potato fries are the crispiest perfect bites. The green tomato salad is really bread and butter pickles, but they won’t tell you that. They’re good, but sweeter than you might be expecting. Crispy flaky fried catfish, perfectly blackened salmon. You cannot go wrong here and the wait staff are attentive.

Grabbed lunch at Soul Fish Cafe Cooper Young location during a busy lunch rush. We were sat immediately and our server was very friendly and attentive. Our orders came out so quickly that we both believed they were for another table. My wings and fries were good and my wife’s Catfish was great with a cucumber salad and cabbage. We will definitely be returning for another lunch!

The shrimp po boy is where it’s at. You have to get the it and ask for it buffalo style. Begin your meal with an appetizer of… buffalo shrimp and fries. And end the meal with… you guessed it, buffalo shrimp. The buffalo shrimp are amazing. Get them. Eat them. Thank me.

We came from out of town and heard great things about this place so decided to try it out, we ordered the blackened catfish and the Platter and the extra sides, the menus prices have changed since the last menus were put on here so be aware that everything has increased $3-5. That being said we enjoyed what we got for sure. Would come again.
