We arrived in Mitchell late Saturday evening due to delays while traveling and were looking forward to a nice steak and potatoes dinner. Fortunately, they stay open late and had room for us at the bar. Kyla was prompt and polite with her service. Bthe salads we ordered came with a tray of “self-serve” fixing and crackers – what a pleasant surprise! The steak and prime rib we ordered were cooked perfectly and very tasty.

On the advice of friends, we came early and were seated immediately. We ordered the fried pickles and they were great. For dinner we had the top sirloin and the NY strip with side salads and baked potato and asparagus. The steaks were cooked perfectly with a great char on both sides. The potato was fluffy and enjoyed with sour cream and butter. The asparagus was a little tough but still very tasty. We have been here before and will be back as the steaks are definitely worth the trip.

What a great evening. The steak was off the charts. The restaurant was able to accommodate our group of 7 with no reservation. Dinner side salads came with all the extras the shrimp was fresh and lighty breaded. Had to take the opportunity a d leave with the chocolate cake it didn’t disappoint.

I am a world traveler, food blogger, published author, doctoral student, and disabled veteran. If I wanted an average meal with poor service, I would have gone to McDonald’s. I have eaten at the original in Pierre and when we had one in Rapid City. I will likely never return to the one in Mitchell. It’s kind of sad. A pretty disappointed customer..

Went there for the prime rib. It was almost tasteless. Took the leftovers home and then eventually threw them away. The lettuce salads were just okay . The services. Awesome!. The interior decor is a little lacking. Won’t be back but every once in a while sounds like somebody gets good prime rib.

The filet and burger we had was good but the service was lacking. Our server was on day 4 and obviously needed more training. When we got the burger we asked about fries and was told that was extra. The menu clearly stated one side was included. The salad came out about the time the steak was delivered so that should have come out earlier. The server never came back to check on our order and we had to ask for refills. I think management had overloaded our server.
