My friend and I both really enjoyed our dishes! She got the teriyaki chicken and I got the ramen curry chicken. I was told the curry was a little spicy, but it really wasn’t at all. Next time, I will ask them to make it a little hotter. It was still delicious! Definitely going again!

Took a short trip over here from Maryland with some friends because we saw it on Yelp’s ‘Top 25 Ramens Spots in the US’ list. It was definitely worth the drive, both the broth and the noodles were excellent. The Chashu Pork buns were equally as delicious. It’s very small inside, so be sure to call ahead for a reservation.

After seeing a recommendation for this restaurant in Northern Virginia magazine, we decided to try it out on one of the coldest days of the year. The vegan spicy miso ramen was so good – spicy, warming, and full of delicious tofu, noodles, and vegetables. We also shared the steamed edamame which was a nice appetizer.

There is limited seating indoors and as this is a strip mall, outdoor seating is not great. That said food makes up for it. Vegan Tomyum Ramen is the best ramen in the area. Veggies Japanese curry is also good. Umai Curry and Tomyum Ramen are popular.

Great first time experience. Greeted and seated right away. Boba tea (thai iced coffee) was refreshing. Husband’s curry ramen was unique and is worthy of a repeat visit. In general, the dining space is very small, but they have bar seating perfect for solo diners. Warm weather allows you to sit outside comfortably and expands their dine in experience.

Umai has never failed me and I’ve been eating their ramen since they opened the spicy tonkotsu is my FAVORITE but it’s also super delicious without the spicy lol my husband typically gets the spicy miso ramen and I also really love their chicken karaage Their pork charsui is some of the best in, not only flavor, but in portion size too. So good. And their service is top notch. Everyone is super nice. They’ve converted to a paperless menu system (qr code) but that doesn’t mean they’re not attentive to you! And the food comes out quick. Love them!

Adorable hole in the wall place. Very little and very busy on weekends. It’s easy to see why it’s busy. The ramen and rice bowls are delicious; i love that they have some creative cocktails as well. Curry puff appetizer was too good I forgot to take a picture. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Pricing super reasonable. Highly recommend!

What a neighborhood gem! Space is cozy and thoughtfully decorated, ingredients are fresh, food came out fast and delicious, service is incredible. Absolutely no reservation about revisiting to try everything on the menu. Hope they always have a steady flow of customers like I see every time I am here.
