My absolute favorite enchiladas anywhere is from Maria’s in the Rio Grande Valley. I might have found the closest thing to them in Houston. The enchiladas are very much a Tex Mex style with lots of gravy and melty yellow cheese. The rice is also very flavorful. My meal today was about as perfect as you could ask for. Can wait to try more items from the menu.

Pleasantly surprised! The food turned out great. They made some special breakfast tacos for my kids and the enchiladas were great a texmex style. Cracking real eggs, cooking everything to order in a clean kitchen and restaurant. Staff was super sweet as well. I will be back for sure to support them. I have been back 5 or 6 times since the first trip and it’s great every time. Very kid friendly as well.

Super clean place and staff is friendly. Food is fresh and looks like it was cooked with care. I recommend the beef milanesa plate! Will definitely be making this my go to breakfast/ brunch place for when I don’t feel like cooking.

My son and I both ordered the carne guisada. We were not disappointed. The cook knew exactly what he were doing, I even went up and asked him how he got the meat so tender because lately mine has not been coming out like that. He was kind enough to tell me what kind of meat to get so I’m going to try it next time I make carne guisada. The disappointment was that they had store-bought tortillas not homemade. You really don’t want carne guisada with store-bought tortillas.
