At our Alexander City, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The service was great. Employees were friendly. The food was alright. My our stuffed crab was burned on the outside, but 1 piece was undercooked on the I side. The rest of the food was good. The main complaint was a bad odor when you first walk in. I think it was coming from the sewage lines. The odor was really bad in the bathroom.

They just ruined my captain d experience! This spicy fish is nasty it’s soggy and maybe still not completely cooked, and I didn’t even ask for it! I asked for the classic deluxe seafood platter!! And dove all the way home. Oh and they want answer phone!!!

If I could give this place a negative 5 ⭐️ I would most definitely do so! Extremely slow and after waiting nearly 30 minutes at the window the food tasted like it was leftover from the day before! Utterly pathetic! I thought after waiting for 30 minutes we could get some fresh food but it was far from being fresh! We just paid $23 for dog scraps! 2nd time I have went to this location and had bad food! I wouldn’t recommend sending an enemy to eat here!

The flavor of the food was plain and didn’t have a taste. The fish was over cooked and the chicken tasted like the fish and was over cooked. Also the Mac n cheese was runny. After this experience I think that was the last straw for me eating here again.

Always hot and fresh!!! People are nice and helpful!!! I tried the jalapeno poppers for the fist time and they were good too!! I really don’t care for fish but I like Captain D’s because the fish is crunchy!!!
