Pho & Banh Mi Saigonese is located in convenient location – a lot of parking spots (not free). Huge dining room with many wooden tables-seats, nice, clean, peaceful atmosphere and decorating nicely. As for service, they are OK. Anyway this restaurant the highlight is food, especially I really their grilled meat dish (pork, chicken, beef), they cook them very well. They also have variety and many selections – Pho Noodle, rice/vermicelli bowl and Vietnamese sandwich/bun. I tried all of them, they were delish and the price is very reasonable.

The Banh me is OK at best second time I order it and it doesn’t taste good. I order a bun with grill meat. That meat is like beef jerky, it doesn’t feel like it just grill.

The proportion between bread and meat for Bahn mi is off – there is very little meat inside the sandwich, so I recommend getting double meat. Water is self serve, also pay at counter. Very inexpensive food.

This place is a real gem. Both the Pho and the Banh Mi are fantastic! Actually everything I’ve tried here is delicious. Lovely interior for a sit-down or great for carry out as well.

Finally had a chance to try the banh mi. Got the buy 5 and get 1 free to get a few banh mi to go! Pricing is $5.50 – $6.00 each. The bread was great, but a little lacking on the meat portion. Flavors were great though. Good option if you’re craving and don’t want to drive to Eden and deal with traffic and parking.

So excellent! The shredded tofu, lemongrass chicken and grilled beef vermicelli are standouts. I think this is the only restaurant in the Wheaton area that has Banh Mi sandwiches on the menu. if you are not familiar with these they are freshly baked mini baguettes filled with with Asian ingredients, pickled carrots and radishes, cilantro and jalepeño pepper slices and your choice of meats or shredded tofu inside. My fav is the grilled chicken. My family is very fond of the fresh (unfriend) spring rolls either with shrimp or tofu. Another bonus about this restaurant is that they’re open in the morning. You can enjoy a hot bowl of pho for breakfast!

Skip here and go to Mi La Cay which is 100x better, unless you like spoiled ingredients. The banh mi was a bit lacking in flavor and had spoiling jalapeno peppers (black in color). When you’re putting in ingredients piece by piece by hand with jalapenos, how can you allow a black jalapeno into a raw sandwich? Terrible. The bun bo huh was also lacking in flavor, rather watery, and no pigs feet. The egg crepe also had spoiling black bean sprouts. The imperial rolls were possibly the only good thing there, other than nice decor. Maybe the pho is good, but we won’t likely be back anytime soon. Ps: takeout only
