Service was good for the most part. Food was hit or miss. Large quantities but quality was medium. Mac and cheese (at least the side) was just a light watery cheese sauce. Chilli was very salty. Smoked meats came out cold. Fries are delicious and so are the sauces. Bread was either soggy or hard and stale for our sandwiches.

The brisket here is likely the best I’ve had in Michigan and I’ve tried a lot of places. The smoked sausage has excellent flavor but a little salty if you try to avoid salt. Tried 3 of the four sauces. All were good. None had much heat. Did not try the white sauce. Just not a fan of Alabama sauce but they have it if that’s your thing. Coleslaw is a vinegar sauce more than creamy which was perfect for my taste. I also got waffle fries which were very good and not over fried like a lot of places. The cornbread is moist and soft. Has a nice sweetness to it. I would have given a five star review except I waited for over ten minutes at my table before I was greeted and they weren’t very busy. Once my server showed up, she was very friendly and attentive. Lots of locally rewed beers and ciders offered here as well.

I like the food and we order out a lot. Had some company over so instead of getting the ultimate sampler ($40) we ordered the larger option “meat sweat”($160). 20% gratuity is automatically added to the entree that’s already priced 3x more so you would expect a minimum of 3x larger servings….. Wrong.

The food was amazing! Everything we ordered was so delicious. I highly recommend the burnt ends appetizer. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out very quick. the chocolate avalanche dessert was a great way to finish the evening!

Normally I’ll start off with reviewing the food or location first but this time I have to give a shout out to Bobby behind the bar. He was very friendly and simply amazing! Honestly everything on the menu looked so good and it smelled amazing in there so I just went with the sampler plate and it was a home run. Wonderful atmosphere, very nice staff and super clean! Definitely eat here or live with regret the rest of your life.
