Great place with some good food and service, we tried the tacos and the nachos the last two visits, the chips and salsa as well.

This place never disappoints. The guacamole is best I’ve had here in Lafayette. Service is always great and food hot and freshly prepared. Come get you some.

Seemed to be understaffed. Slow food order, order not correct, menu was not updated. We still enjoyed our experience but that squeeky front door has to go. Was able to get a vegan option with raw Veggie tacos. Beans are made with lard.

Really nicely setup restaurant. I was driving from FL to TX and stopped at this place to grab a bite. Very friendly environment and staff. Street tacos were really tasty. And their prices are pretty reasonable. The only issue might be is finding a parking space if you’re driving. Other than that, I would definitely go back there again to try their other dishes. Maybe one day again I’ll be able to repeat this stop.

My husband and I recently moved to Breaux Bridge, and we have been looking for an authentic and sophisticated Mexican restaurant. We found it at La Carreta. We have now been twice, and both times the food and service were EXCELLENT. To use my husband’s comment … “Superb!” And it was. This will be our go-to for Mexican food in the Lafayette area.

Service was fair. Server needs to wear pants that do not show too much. Food ok but not as expected. Tortillas for my wife’s beef fajitas were greasy and stuck together. We asked for replacement and request was quickly fulfilled. My chicken quesadilla was made with baked chicken not the expected grilled chicken also no grilled veggies just meat, cheese, and tortilla also a bit bland. Salsa was excellent with just right amount of spiciness. Guacamole was made with small pieces of avocado and was not spiced – a bit bland – cilantro would have been a good addition.

So we decided to give this restaurant a try and first it’s not authentic at all. Our waitress seemed confident and when I placed my order I asked for fajita nachos. Grilled chicken, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes and cheese. She repeated it back to clarify and I told her correct. I didn’t want sour cream, pico, guacamole etc. What I got was a plate full of jalapeño, lettuce, cheese and the smallest little pieces of chicken I have ever seen. Not even close to fajita anything. I asked if I could have it remade and told them exactly what I was looking for and the manager came up and started making excuses and arguing. So I had them take it back and I just finished my water and margarita for dinner. I won’t trust a restaurant not to spit in my food when the manager decides to argue! Margaritas were subpar.

Had an amazing first time experience with a group of lady friends. Our server De’Vontae gave us outstanding customer service. He was very pleasant, patient, and attentive. I am excited to go back and visit again soon.
