I was lucky enough to discover this wonderful sushi restaurant and was extremely satisfied. Every dish I tried was delicious and prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. The portions were generous and the presentation was very well done. In addition, the staff was extremely attentive to my needs and was able to recommend dishes very well. I cannot fail to mention the splendid atmosphere of the place: elegant and sophisticated, yet at the same time welcoming and relaxing. I highly recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional gastronomic experience.

Gekko restaurant on SW 8th street left us in awe! Our dining experience with friends was truly memorable. The staff was flexible and accommodating with our timings and bookings. The food was nothing short of amazing and superb. The atmosphere was fun, though it felt a bit rushed, as if they wanted us to finish quickly. Also, it was dark and loud, which slightly affected our overall enjoyment. After dinner we enjoyed drinking and dancing at their lounge/bar that we like to frequent a lot. A delightful culinary adventure and a fun evening overall!

We’ve eaten at Gekko a couple of times but these pictures are from our initial January 3rd dining experience. We had made and confirmed a reservation but they couldn’t find our reservations when we arrived. The front door men were really nice about it. I had requested to sit at the sushi bar because I love to watch the chefs. Our server was really personable and knowledgeable. I ordered the snow aged Sake from the sommelier and really liked it although not sure it was worth the price for a small shot. The salmon Nigiri with black truffle was amazing!! It was extremely fresh, cut perfectly and melted in my mouth. The crispy rice was perfectly crispy and oh so fresh! It had the perfect texture. The fresh fish at this restaurant is definitely amazing. Like all the trendy restaurants in Miami, be prepared to spend a lot. I want to add that compared to other elevated Miami restaurants, our server was really pushy to the point of making it an uncomfortable dining experience. She was more of a salesperson and hovered non stop to make us keep spending. It’s didn’t feel natural.

Wow, I had the most incredible experience at this restaurant! The environment, music, and location were all so amazing and really added to the overall atmosphere. It was clear that a lot of thought went into every aspect of the restaurant, making it one of the most well-planned beautiful and sexy places I’ve ever seen. The music was especially fantastic, and I loved that Bad Bunny is a co-owner. The food was infused with gold and just tasted so luxurious and regal. It was the perfect place to have a great time and even catch some celebrities visiting as well. It just give you a VIP feel. I absolutely loved it and would definitely go back when I’m in Miami again.

went for my friends bday we got there a little earlier for our reservation, and decided to go to the lounge for drinks, which it was amazing. After we went to our table which our server was Vanessa G. Let me just say she was absolutely AMAZING she really made us want to go back. She knew her menu, super nice and kind. (when I do go back I would request her if it’s possible.)

Went Saturday night, we arrived earlier than we planned. We had a late reservation but they were very accomodating, and sat us as soon as we walked in. We got great service from start to finish; from the security who greeted us, to the hostess who welcomed us, to the server, and finally the sushi chef. We opted to sit at the bar, our server’s name was Brianna, very sweet and attentive. We had great conversation with Oscar, the sushi chef, who was very friendly and made awesome reccomendations. Cocktails weren’t that good but the food was amazing. We ended the night in the lounge, what a fun little surprise. I can’t wait to go back!

The food was absolutely delicious, normally with the “hype” restaurants it’s all about presentation. However this time it was both. The food matched the presentation. Service was great, Briana and Alejandro made the experience more than enjoyable! I will definitely be coming back, be ready to spend $100+ a person.

Top notch service, Brianna gave us by far the best service I ever had at a restaurant . The food surpassed our expectations. My tip would be to try whatever you want on the menu no matter what reviews you see online …you won’t be disappointed. Everyone from the gentleman at the velvet rope outside to our server mentioned our anniversary…it was just a wonderful time.

I’m happy to report that 3.6 star rating is False! I’m also happy my friend made me go here, usually I do not entertain places less that 4.5 stars but wow I’m glad I did. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is great and the food is scrumptious. I didn’t even get to snap my food because I was too busy eating but I did snap a photo in the entrance area. Chefs kiss. They also have a lounge that’s open on some days.

Hostess was super kind, the restaurant looks fancy and exclusive. I ordered a spicy blue fin tuna roll, very fresh and gourmet style. For drinks we had margaritas but they weren’t balance it enough, that’s the only part didn’t impressed me. They played some Bad Bunny’s songs, I really like it.
