Our dinner was really good. The ingredients are well thought out to take a traditional dish and elevate it to something better. The margarita was fresh and proper proportions. I got the enchiladas with and egg and it was delicious. I would also mention that the salsa and chips that come to the table, the green salsa is excellent and the red salsa had a little bit of ra sweet taste to it, neither were too spicy. We would like to return and explore more menu items.

Really impressed with the whole experience. My server Connor was attentive & clearly used to multi tasking. I had the jalapeño app and the skirt steak quesadillas. I’d also tried the steak enchiladas the first time I came here & they were great too. This isn’t your ordinary everyday Mexican fare. It reminded me of the upper end Mexican food back in Scottsdale (without the high pricing) The restaurant was really clean and you’re not crammed in there like so many restaurants with too many tables in too small a room. I‘ll definitely be going back

Best thing that’s happened to Kennesaw since the railroad. We’ve needed a high-end, high-quality Mexican restaurant for YEARS, and now it’s here. Amazing location, incredible food, and the service and drinks are impeccable. Got a chance to meet the owner and he was awesome and on the floor the whole time helping his staff running olates and drinks and greeting the guests. He ran our food, a few drinks, other tables….and the staff was awesome. We had live music and a cool breeze and it couldn’t have been better. It was our 2nd night in a row and we’ll be back soon!

There is a lot to like about Bernardo’s MM. great food. Almost every dish on the menu spoke to me and wanted my approval. So many good options. Great location next to the tracks in downtown Kennesaw. The Little Gel Salad was tangy and tasty.

The poppers, chips and salsa are always fantastic! First time having the Elote (Street Corn) and it was delicious, but really small cobs for $4 each. I got the pork tamales. I won’t get them again. It was massive amounts of masa with very little pork. The black beans were like a paste like they were scraped from the bottom of a pot (not like the photos online). My daughter got the barbacoa tacos. Very (overly) generous meat on the tacos, but there was nothing else except for a small amount of salsa. We had to ask for the avocado that was supposed to be on the tacos. We each had 1 beer. Total bill $80 with tip. Our poor server was really stressed. She was the only server for many tables. I felt bad for her. She did a fantastic job though and very attentive. I felt like the kitchen staff really didn’t care. Presentation and quality/freshness was not good at all for entrees.

My wife and I were excited to try Bernardos since it changed from Trackside but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The nachos were a large slice of chicken on an individual chip with bean spread and mozzarella x 5, not even queso. The black bean spread with black bean chips was way too much black bean in a bite. The al pastor tacos were mushy and frankly gross. The highlight of the menu was the excellent jalapeno poppers with really inventive cilantro marmalade sauce.

So we LOVED ‘The Trackside’ as it was before – It was great food in a traditional southern vibe. The bisque was legendary.

Love the atmosphere and the food. Staff always attentive. My fave is the goat cheese and mushroom quesadilla. On our last visit our server Garrett really went above and beyond. The table next to us of three people were so melodramatic it was SHOCKING. They caused a huge seen. I’m pretty sure they were trying to get their food for free. He stayed calm and was so pleasant but we felt horrible for him.

I’ve been to this new modern mex for a few visits and it’s quickly becoming my favorite Mexican spot. The food is upscale with delicious chips and salsa’s. Really good house margaritas too!! The rooftop is perfect on a nice evening or cooler day. Love the modern new look!

I was sad to hear Trackside was closing and nervous that they were rebranding to Mexican food. I needn’t have. I had the tamales and they were the best I’ve ever had. Not an exaggeration. The sauce was a perfect compliment to the flavorful masa and pork instead of drowning the lack of flavor. We always say you can tell a good Mexican restaurant by their rice and beans. The rice was again so flavorful and the beans tasted like they had been simmering for hours. The chips came with red and green salsa that tasted freshly made. My husband got shrimp tacos and the tortilla looked and tasted homemade. My son got jalapeno poppers that were huge with a dark crusty coating that were delicious. We can’t wait to go back to try other dishes and to make this our favorite hangout.
