I have been to this hidden gem three times now. Each time I’ve had a good experience while in Williamsburg, VA. This last time my husband specifically requested to go here for his birthday dinner. I was absolutely down for another experience. This last trip was the longest and most frequent we have visited. We had breakfast every day for four days, and only ate dinner else where once. We got to know the staff and had the pleasure of meeting Chef Randy for a second time. The staff is overall very nice. Below are just a few things that stuck out in my memory the most or was my one of my favorites. The only reason I am not giving the restaurant 5 is because like any business you can tell the manager happens not to be there. The perfect storms seem to happen, the system crashes, people don’t show up to work, and the good consistent associates have their morale go down and it shows. As I told one of the waitress one early morning, “No worries over here, just call my room when it’s ready. You give great service so don’t stress! Everything comes in full circle.” Chef, please recognize your hard workers if you already don’t, they go hard for you when you’re away my dude! They just need to take a breather and go back to the basics if life happens. We all LOVE your food because of all the quality ingredients you use and and the attention given to it. Thanks for all you do for your customers. You’re very personable, and you can tell you actually have a passion for what you do! You have us as customers for as long as you are there.

The best hamburger I have ever eaten in a restaurant so good I forgot to take a photo of it, but I did catch desert before it was gone. Staff was OUTSTANDING!

Don’t expect continental breakfast. The service was very bad, she had no idea what is in the menu, forgetting to bring food. The coffee was just water with a coffee smell. Horrible! And we prepaid for this breakfast !!!

I was So Very Disappointed. It was our Anniversary and I Booked this hotel because it had a High rated restaurant and Bar. When we arrived We were Given a small paper menu. I Ask about ordering the drink that was listed on the online menu. We were Told they were only serving Beer and Wine. Menu given did not show steak which was what I wanted to order for my husband. We Did order appetizers. There was only one other table who had ordered before us It still Took about 30 minutes after ordering to get the food.

I didn’t eat here however my husband and daughter had breakfast here every day of our stay and they loved the food and the service. Friendly staff, excellent variety of food, kids eat for free with a paying adult. However, you are automatically charged 3 dollars for soda even if you didn’t order one. They will take it off your bill once you point it out for them. All in all, a great in hotel breakfast option, especially with the little one who wakes up wanting to eat!

Not very happy with the service. Server was slow and seemed confused. Ordered a sandwich without tomatoes. Discussed this in length and still got tomatoes on the sandwich. Don’t think I’ll be going back. Maybe they need to hire more help

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Suites in Historic District In Williamsburg. We decided to eat at the Bistro 515 that is located in the hotel. We were so impressed. All of the people were amazingly nice. We were celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary and my husband emailed the chef prior to dining. They set up a table for us and even remembered our names and how many years we’d been married. Chef Randy came out and introduced himself. To say he was nice is an understatement. And his dishes…. AMAZING. He definitely is a hidden gem. Our server, Stephanie, was also very nice. When we finished, Chef Randy came out and made sure everything was to our liking. Service such as this is rare. We will most definitely eat here again.

Two stars on service alone and, to be honest, I had really high hopes for this place when I saw the reviews, but I was highly disappointed. I got the cheese steak omelette and there was SO MUCH pepper on the steak that it nearly rendered it inedible and it left the omelette smelling a little like canned dog food. If you’re looking for home fries, don’t get their breakfast potatoes as they’re simply deep fried potato pieces with seasoning. The pancakes and waffles were INCREDIBLY SWEET. While I understand they’re supposed to be slightly on the sweet side, but that should primarily come from adding the syrup and the mix seemed to taste just as sweet as cake mix. It was ok, but not the best. Maybe we’ll try again another time after they’ve improved some things, but, at this time, it’s not likely that we’ll go back.
