Finally… Some outstanding Mexican food in Pittsburgh! Spent some time in Texas where I tried birria and have been chasing that flavor ever since. Tacosburgh had exactly what I have been searching for! The server was amazing, I believe her name was Gabi. She was on top of refills and checking in with us often. The owner was running food out, helping his waitstaff, checking in with tables as well. You can clearly see how passionate he is about his restaurant! I cannot wait to come back for more birria tacos, and look forward to trying the rotisserie menu options!

This was my first time ordering and it was terrible. I’m not very picky at all. I ordered enchiladas, they didn’t even seem baked like most, seems like only chicken was rolled in the tortilla and then drizzled with sauce. Chicken was odd (not really shredded it seems). The whole dish lacked any flavor really. I usually try a place twice before saying I won’t order again but it is very unlikely. Idk if it’s because I ordered delivery vs dining in. The rest of the food photos look so good online.

Our first experience was not bad not great. I had the Birria tacos which were a little dry and the dipping jus didn’t have a lot of flavor on its own. The garlic and shrimp tacos were better but didn’t have a whole lot of garlic flavor like I was expecting. Ordered the half chicken with mole and it wasn’t bad but was just a little bit dry the mole was good a little too much cinnamon though for me. Accidentally instead of the rotisserie chicken they brought out chicken enchiladas which I didn’t know that’s what they were I thought they were something else they looked pretty but again the chicken inside was a little dry although the sauces were more flavorful. And then I told him I didn’t want the rice and they charged us for rice and beans on the rotisserie chicken but we got it taken care of no problem. My biggest issue is how much things cost and they don’t even give you chips and salsa.

TacosBurgh was an interesting place to visit the other night. Stopped out after a day of helping a friend move. They have a nice restaurant and bar. The food was tasty, and we had a good meal. They had live music in a mariachi band that walked around the restaurant. It was nice but very loud in the restaurant, and a little awkward that the mariachi band stopped at our table the moment our food showed up instead of the 20mins we sat there waiting between courses. After a couple songs they moved onto another table, and finally was time for the food. The birra torta was delicious and soaked up the sauce well. The tacos were tasty as well. Next time I’d like to try their pollo mole.

Delicious food and excellent service. Their tortilla chips were to die for. We enjoyed everything we ate. The tacos are pretty big and come with a ton of toppings. We tried the birria tacos as well which were pretty good. Definitely recommend it!

Wonderful rotisserie chicken. My wife had the Chimichurri 1/2 chicken. It was delicious.

4 stars because we were brought different food than what we ordered and the waiter didn’t want to resolve the issue. But I can vouch that the queso and the enchiladas were awesome! Drinks are also very expensive and sub par. When we went the taps were down and there was no cold beer.

At last! A real authentic Mexican restaurant with fresh flavors, innovated techniques, and many items are gluten free. What I like is the fact is that it is Mexican fusion so you can get things such as a burger or even a smoked brisket sandwich. Got the latter in a jus sauce. Believe me it did not disappoint! The sandwich comes with a side of fries and for good measure I ordered the Mexican street corn. That alone is worth the money. I love how you get a whole ear of corn still with the stalk smothered in sauce. The brisket is cured in house and they use the freshest ingredients possible. The meal results show it. It is true the food is pricey here but you are getting quality as opposed to the ordinary.

I’m very picky and I love everything about Tacosburgh. The genuinely nice owners. The creative, gluten free menu. The drinks. The vibe. Everything positive you’d want in an eatery. Support them, please! Dormont needs special places like this!
